Did you ever see something that makes you laugh EVERY TIME YOU SEE IT, regardless of how many times you see it? Then you share it with your loved one who not only does not see the humor but doesn't understand it when you point out the details.

My demented humor travels into some dark areas. Been a cop for 10 years, raised in a cop family. I've seen so much shit that you have to point and laugh or else it starts affecting you.

When i first started, i got a "talking to" because I was eating my lunch at the scene of a suicide/hanger in a tree. Not my fault they found the body dangling just before my break!?!? A guy has gotta eat!!!

After being married this long, I know which ones she won't find funny so don't bother. And I have the complete joy of her being an odd sort of woman, she never asks what i'm thinking or what i'm laughing about. Thank god sometimes.

Fortunately I have a minor child in the house to share demented humor with.  Wifey doesn't realize poop and farts are always funny.

 

She has her own sense of humor though.

 

The other night we were waiting for admission into the auditorium for a school recital.  Something kept doing the obnoxious mosquito buzz around my ears.  After waving my arms a couple of minutes I asked her "Do you see what's making that stupid noise in my ears?"

 

She said loudly "No. Is it time to take your meds?"

Wife being a nurse after 30+ yrs. with her get's harder all the time to gross her out,but I don't stop trying....And on the job when someone does something or thriws something yelling " My eye" never fails to crack someone up. :wacko:
