So I stumbled through the local gun pushers door last weekend, just to talk to him about bolt guns....since we can't buy most of the nasty evil semi-auto's in this communist state anymore. So he was checking on availability on either of the 2 that I'm interested in.....the Remington MSR....or the Barrett MRAD. So while I'm standing there, this little thing caught my eye. And since they're still cash and carry......needless to say.....it was strictly an impulse buy. I'm not really a shotgun guy, but they're still pretty fun to play with. Mossberg
sketch Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Picked one of those up this summer the best part is letting the new shooter attempt to sight it in by putting it up to his face!! I just couldn't let him pull the trigger and receive the punch in the face. It packs a nice punch with buck shot!!
Rsquared Posted October 11, 2013 Author Report Posted October 11, 2013 Yep MRAD. I've got him looking around for either that or an MSR. I like em both. Of course, then I gotta find a range that I can shoot it at. Just a plain waste to shoot those things at 100 or 200 yards.

FaRKle! Posted October 11, 2013 Report Posted October 11, 2013 Hrm, looks like an older 500 with the long mag tube. 20" barrel? Are you going to put a stock on it? I can't say I like pistol grips on a mossberg 500/590 since they interfere with the action release and make reaching the safety more difficult. I recommend putting a vang comp follower in your mag tube. Don't get the GG&G one though as their tolerances are fairly loose and you might have to grind it down to get it to fit...
