shibiwan
Got bored over Xmas break and gave the beater a makeover with the Bushnell 1-4 FFP scope and a more desert friendly color. 98Z5V
I've got a damn sweet Krylon Khaki carbine. It's pretty unique, with what it's made of. I recognized that color right away. <thumbsup>

blue109
Will that krylon be ok on the barrel and gas block? Looks sweet for sure.

shibiwan
How did you prep the barrel or did you ? Turned out great ! No real prep on the barrel - some steel wool then cleaned off with acetone before spraying. Gas block is a cheapie aluminum gas block that came with the beater so the paint stuck on OK. I got a lo-pro gas block in my parts bin but was too lazy to put it on. It's the beater anyhow, I expect to get it chipped up etc, maybe later repaint with more Krylon and try to do a desert MARPAT camo on it. 98Z5V
Saw this rifle today - awesome stick, Shibi!!! <thumbsup>
shibiwan
Thanks! It still shot decent even with a basic boresight job and no real zeroing. I was expecting it to be all over the place.
shibiwan
BTW - surprise surprise - the krylon seems to stick on the bare metal SS barrel a a lot better than the anodized receiver.
