htbde Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 Nice option from LWRC. From SHOT Show 2014
Robocop1051 Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 Do they still sell a pistol option?
htbde Posted February 15, 2014 Author Report Posted February 15, 2014 I seriously wish I had not seen this. I want one.
htbde Posted February 15, 2014 Author Report Posted February 15, 2014 Since it is classified as a pistol does the bullet button apply for CA? I know the 10 round mag does. I could carry this for work.
Robocop1051 Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 The bullet button is required because the magazine is outside the pistol grip.
shibiwan Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 I like the look of the PDW but it does require an SBR stamp... *sigh*
Robocop1051 Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 A signature from your local police cheif, $200 and at least a 6 month wait on ATF to accept your application.
shibiwan Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 (edited) SOT-2 tax stamp for the PDW since it's an NFA item since it falls under the short barrel rifle (SBR) category. Gotta fill in the ATF form 4, pay $200 and wait for a bazillion years (6 months?) to even get the stamp that allows you to buy an SBR. Dang... robo beat me to it! Edited February 15, 2014 by shibiwan
Rsquared Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 6 months? <laughs> Good luck with that. Considering that I just got my stamp back for the POF that was sent in March of last year.
survivalshop Posted February 15, 2014 Report Posted February 15, 2014 6 months? <laughs> Good luck with that. Considering that I just got my stamp back for the POF that was sent in March of last year. They must have known you . <lmao>
Robocop1051 Posted February 16, 2014 Report Posted February 16, 2014 I'm calling LWRCi on Monday to see if they'll sell it as a pistol. I really just want the IC receiver, but California has silly laws about the pistol being complete when sold. I think I'll pop for their cerakote option and then dip it later. Definitely Kryptek, just deciding between Highlander and Typhon.
98Z5V Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 Wat is a SBR stamp? Craziest question I've seen asked from somebody that already owns Armalite rifles in California. Since you own Armalite rifles in California, you obviously know some ways around laws, or you've been there (with your registered rifles) for a very, very long time. You, as a Californian, obviously know about the chart that pertains to you... http://www.calguns.net/caawid/flowchart.pdf

htbde Posted February 19, 2014 Author Report Posted February 19, 2014 (edited) I shoot an SBR, I drink PBR.....on occasion. I am confused where apples fit in. Me too. Was mentioned in another thread. Inside joke I guess. SBR doesn't apply to the ArmaLite SPR(AR10T) that I own. It would be required if I was thinking about this mongrel above. Happyhappyhappy Edited February 19, 2014 by htbde
blue109 Posted February 19, 2014 Report Posted February 19, 2014 I don't often drink beer, but when I do, it sure as hell isn't PBR
