sketch Posted February 25, 2014 Report Posted February 25, 2014 In my neck of the woods that is north of Seattle. Weather predicted 6" it's usually 2" but it snowed for almost 40 hrs and we got drifts up to 2.5 ft! This might be small potatoes but here we take the day off! Dad had donuts for breaky And then the sun came out ahhhhh! One of the clearest shots of Mt Baker I've seen in a while!! Except for the house and tree of course ;)

Sisco Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 I had to take 2 feet of heavy wet snow out of my 500 foot driveway last week and tonight it will get down to -19F so I will have to get up at 4 am and walk up the hill to fill the wood boiler to keep the house warm. We will hit 90 inches snow this next week for the year, and none of it has melted, since the winter has been so cold. Winter used to be fun, now its work. I for one am ready to leave it behind.
gnatshooter Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Where's global warming when you need some of that?

shepp Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Im waiting for one of the Arizona brothers to chime in and laugh at us.............. I'll take zero and a foot of snow over 120* and my balls hanging to my knees any day! To much Viking and Celtic heritage in my genes for that poop!
unforgiven Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 I don't know brother, maybe cause I'm south of ya and an older dog I had enough of winter.Like my Ariza brother said "you do have to shovel heat" lotta truth to that.
Toolndie7 Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Yeah cant exactly turn your back to 2' of snow and go back in the house. Sadly It will all be there in the morning
shepp Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 Yea the colds taken a toll on me for sure, I don't hand heat well. Owning a quad with a plow makes moving snow "more fun ". Like I said tho most storms either duck down below Rockford and head that way of cut up the sw side of wi and angle north of Madison it's Wierd
unforgiven Posted February 26, 2014 Report Posted February 26, 2014 (edited) I think the shape of Lake Michigan has something to do with it.At the southern tip which is dowtown Chi. is the windyest.Had a helio lift going on at the Palmolive building was cancelled 8 times because of wind. Was calm till 9am then the wind started. I've since rebuilt previous builders fence about 50 ft!! I despise pulling post and Crete out of the ground but if you need help I've mastered the art!!
