survivalshop Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 (edited) Damn, things may be looking up . I was just in Gander & they had Powder , fairly good assortment , well maybe I went over board there , but they had handout twenty on pond canisters of various powders . I was surprised , there was another customer who was looking at it with me & said its been a long time since he saw powder in there , two years , maybe . I picked up a lb. of IMR 4895 & 3031 , I just couldn't help myself . Might go back tomorrow to hoard , if any thing is left . Yes, I know that one rule will probably rear its ugly head , but I'm not desperate , so no biggie . <dontknow> Edited March 25, 2014 by survivalshop
shibiwan Posted March 25, 2014 Report Posted March 25, 2014 Same here. Powder is appearing in Bass Pro and Sportsman's. Hodgon, Alliant, Accurate... etc. all starting to show up with 2014 manufacturing batches.
Toolndie7 Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 Its trickling back so restrain yourself from hoarding too much and let it flow to other guys. That way they can hoard it
survivalshop Posted March 26, 2014 Author Report Posted March 26, 2014 I suppressed my horde complex . <laughs>
Armed Eye Doc Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 I haven't been back to the local store. I'll have to hit it soon or wait until Monday when they get another delivery.
texas30cal Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Ten ring in n.w. Houston has been getting a fairly steady supply of powder and primers but the email I got from them yesterday said they are enforcing 1k per customer per day limits again bc supply is getting low again.
Armed Eye Doc Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I went to GM after work today. They still had powder from Monday's shipment. I got a pound each of H110 and IMR 8208XBR. There was 1 Unique, 1 Blue Dot, several pounds each of 3031, 4350, 4895, 4064 and at least one more that I can't remember. I had stopped looking in the powder cabinet because all they have had was muzzle loader powder for the last 4-5 months.
survivalshop Posted March 28, 2014 Author Report Posted March 28, 2014 That's about the same powder the was here , except for the H110 , which I would have picked up all of it they had ( horde ) Maybe some already picked the H110 up already . Bastiges ! <laughs>
texas30cal Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 I just scored some 4895 from the nw Houston location, good tip!
NoFail Posted March 28, 2014 Report Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) Hmmm, I see, well maybe it's a good thing I haven't been shooting up my supplies for awhile. Actually it is a good thing I have not been shooting up my supplies for awhile. I'll be cruising thru Manteca on my way to San Francisco today, Giants game, and I'll have my son stop at the Bass Pro there and we'll see what's up. Well prolly on way back home tomorrow, we spending night. Edited March 28, 2014 by NoFail
Armed Eye Doc Posted May 12, 2014 Report Posted May 12, 2014 I happened by the powder department and saw a small selection today. There was a couple of pounds of 4-5 different rifle powders. Not a big selection, but still the first I have seen there since March. It would be worth a look if you are nearby and need some powder.
