I lived just off of Lake Erie for a few years but never tried ice fishing, if they even do it there, are they so deep to avoid the cold? I am assuming it would be quite a bit warmer that deep?

I did not like Lake Trout at first when I tried it, but now it has become one of my favorites. Again, you are what you eat. If they have a protein rich diet they taste better. If they eat trash fish, they don't taste as good.
