gnatshooter Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Holy spitballsi! I just placed an order with DPMS itself for a "DPMS Style" upper, and with the forward assist and tax it cost me only $200. There's something wrong with this. Is it made of unobtanium?
planeflyer21 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 POF2014 *THESE UPPERS WILL NOT WORK WITH POF LOWERS!* From what I've been hearing that's some truth in advertising right there.
blue109 Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 yet another receiver height to confuse people...well done POF
survivalshop Posted May 3, 2014 Author Report Posted May 3, 2014 That price is for a complete upper group ,Upper , barrel , BCG & piston system & hand guard, I believe.
Rsquared Posted May 3, 2014 Report Posted May 3, 2014 Yep. That's what it looks like to me too. And given I got the P308 SBR just last year after a (almost) 2 year wait, I understand their pricing. Not that it's reasonable mind you. Just that I understand it. Now I didn't realize that their stuff wasn't DPMS compatible unless otherwise stated. But I only have one other DPMS/SR25 patterned build waiting to happen. (shocker) All of my other one's are Armalite's.
blackeyes Posted June 17, 2014 Report Posted June 17, 2014 Wow They are pretty pricey. I did not pay much more than that for my POF416 (complete) I've heard of some QC issue's, but mine has been absolutely rock-solid. I ran 1200 rds HARD through it during a 2 day VATA Group session at Camp Villere in LA a few weeks ago without a single hiccup. I only oiled it before the session started. Its full NP3 coated. My only qualm is its slightly heavy compared to my other AR's. Not much, but in a 2 day session you can feel it. Their new trigger group is fantastic.
