Rsquared Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 For any of you guys that would like another upper to drop onto your existing lower. Armalite is running a sale this month on rifle uppers of different configs. Not bad pricing. A little over 600 for a complete upper. For just swapping uppers.....that's not bad at all. Even as a builder, you could pull the barrel and replace it, and already have the upper and BCG. That's worth over 500 by itself. And that's if you find a stripped upper (they're out there.....just gotta keep lookin). Or just pull the handguards and replace them with a rail. That alone would change the whole "look" of the rifle. Just throwin it out there. Don't know how many guys cruise Armalite's site on a regular basis. Hell....I'm thinking of getting one just for (more) spare parts. Though somehow I know that it would just turn into another whole rifle on it's own. Sheesh......got enough build projects on the list as it is.
shibiwan Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 (edited) Bah... that will mean I got to get or make an Armalite lower too. <lmao> <laughs> Edited June 6, 2014 by shibiwan
Rsquared Posted June 6, 2014 Author Report Posted June 6, 2014 Yeah.....the CMMG ain't gonna snap onto that upper. <laughs>
Sisco Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Armalite has been running some great deals, both from them and through surrogates. That is how I got my AR10T carbine.i don't know why, but I am going to see about taking advantage of it. Thanks for the heads up.
unforgiven Posted June 6, 2014 Report Posted June 6, 2014 Yeah.....the CMMG ain't gonna snap onto that upper. <laughs> You'r gonna need a bigger hammer.Just sayin. <thumbsup>
Rsquared Posted June 7, 2014 Author Report Posted June 7, 2014 He's a machinist. I got faith in him. Plus........it's cheaper than buying another lower. <laughs>

jtallen83 Posted June 8, 2014 Report Posted June 8, 2014 I wouldn't have any issues running this carbine upper; http://www.armalite.com/ItemForm.aspx?item=U10A4CBFX&ReturnUrl=Categories.aspx?Category=f1e54903-c50b-4f43-9140-d3a24eb188ec on my regular rifle lower would I??????
Rsquared Posted June 9, 2014 Author Report Posted June 9, 2014 Not as long as it's a Armalite 10b lower.
BigP623 Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 Dam that SASS upper is more than I paid for my whole gun lol
Sisco Posted June 9, 2014 Report Posted June 9, 2014 That SASS is a beautiful rifle, for my go to rifle though, I like the AR10T carbine. Under 9 lbs unloaded, good to 600 yards minimum with the right optics. But for putting holes in things from a long ways away with an AR10, The SASS is the word.
