jtallen83 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 OpticsPlanet has it listed as a new model; http://www.opticsplanet.com/nikon-m-308-4-16x42mm-riflescope.html Maybe they made some changes so the older version is listed as discontinued???????
98Z5V Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Bubba, they still have the two models listed right on their own website - NikoPlex and BDC: http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/Nikon-Products/Scopes/AR-MSR/index.page
shibiwan Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) Returned mine. Didn't like it due to the weird/more pronouned black-hole effect compared to other scopes. Oh and the SFP BDC reticle made it hard for me to range properly since I'm used to MIL-MIL scopes. Edited September 28, 2014 by shibiwan
98Z5V Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 (edited) You're the only opponent I've ever seen to this principle of scopes. There's a metric $hit-ton of long-range shooters that are converting over to BDC scopes, for the very reason of the BDC reticle. To a certain range, No Clicky. Edited September 28, 2014 by 98Z5V
bubbasks Posted September 28, 2014 Author Report Posted September 28, 2014 Yep its gonna b my coyote gun so no clicky is best
unforgiven Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Nikon still shows it.http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/Nikon-Products/Riflescopes/8495/M-308-4-16x42-BDC-800.html Brother Jeff sez that 168 gr. hits dead to the BDC.
StainTrain Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 While I do not have the M-308, I do have the M-223 and I really like it.
washguy Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 I just bought a craploade of vortex pst's and got rid of all my nikon monarchs...but lemme tell you the two nikon m-308's are my favorites! screw twisting dials....the holdovers are accurate to my range limit of 500 yards...I like em! :) Wash
Robocop1051 Posted September 28, 2014 Report Posted September 28, 2014 Returned mine. Didn't like it due to the weird/more pronouned black-hole effect compared to other scopes. Oh and the SFP BDC reticle made it hard for me to range properly since I'm used to MIL-MIL scopes. And it didn't come in 16:9 ratio... :sign10: :fawkdance:
shibiwan Posted September 29, 2014 Report Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) And it didn't come in 16:9 ratio... :sign10: :fawkdance: You're just jealous because asians have "widescreen" eyes. <lmao> <laughs> Edited September 29, 2014 by shibiwan
