  1. Welcome from Texas
  2. Also, if you purchase a BCG and barrel from the same place, they will usually check the headspace for you. Some manufacturers will check the headspace of your bolt if you send it to them when buying their barrel.
  3. You say that now. It may be easier to bring the rifle to your local gunsmith and have them check headspace if it will truly be the only one.
  4. The manager of the team he is supposed to ride for next year said this. Regarding his contract for a future position as rider of MV Agusta Moto 2 , I will oppose myself in every way to stop it . It won’t happen , he doesn’t represent our company true values
  5. I saw this as well. He screwed himself and deserves to be banned for that. There's no excuse for doing something that dangerous.
  6. I'm around the corner from Stubbs restaurant tonight. I'm in Austinfornia for a conference. We got in late this evening and have had little opportunity to get out. We'll see about tomorrow.
  7. I agree with this. Too much magnification can be a problem just like not enough. You can get a better quality scope in a useful power for what you pay for more magnification and worse optics. As for recommendations, Primary Arms makes some very good scopes at a reasonable price.
  8. Yesterday was the first day to mail the completed packets to the CMP. They will accept them postmarked between now and October 4th. You can fill out the form online here and print it out to mail.
  9. @shepp this one is for you.
  10. That brisket does look great. I need to cook one again.
  11. Here was my Labor Day effort. I marinated about 6 pounds of pork tenderloins for a couple of days then grilled them over a Mesquite wood fire. They were a little salty. I left them in the marinade too long. They couldn't have been too bad, only about half a pound left.
  12. Welcome to the forum. Feel free to post an introduction about yourself. https://forum.308ar.com/forum/22-introductions/

  15. Welcome from Texas.
  16. Great, you should be good to go then. FN makes some good stuff.
  17. I got a PSA dedicated upper, 1:16 twist. It was the only one I saw at the gun show. It was a little more than I wanted to spend, $375 with bcg, charging handle, and 2 mags. I saw blemishes uppers on clearance on PSA site s couple of weeks ago for $250ish. Rule 65b reared its ugly head though.
  18. An AR upper in 22LR followed me home from the gun show today.
  19. Welcome from Texas. Others may correct me, but I'm not sure that a PSA lower will play nice with your upper. Many 308AR lowers are notorious for being proprietary and not working with other branded uppers. The PA10 is one of those in many cases.
  20. Too bad it's in Columbus, Ohio. https://www.travelandleisure.com/hotels-resorts/brewdog-beer-hotel-in-columbus-ohio?utm

  23. A nun walks into Mother Superior's office and plonks down into a chair. She lets out a sigh heavy with frustration. “What troubles you, Sister?” asked the Mother Superior. “I thought this was the day you spent with your family.” “It was,” sighed the Sister. “I went to play golf with my brother. You know I was quite a talented golfer before I devoted my life to Christ.” “I seem to recall that,” the Mother Superior agreed. “So I take it your day of recreation was not relaxing?” “Far from it,” snorted the Sister, “in fact, I even took the Lord's name in vain today!” “Goodness, Sister!” gasped the Mother Superior, astonished. “You must tell me all about it!” “Well, we were on the fifth tee...and this hole is a monster, Mother Superior - 540 yard Par 5, with a nasty dog leg left and a hidden green....and I hit the drive of my life. I creamed it. The sweetest swing I’ve ever made. It's flying straight and true, right along the line I wanted...and it hits a bird in mid-flight !” “Oh my!” commiserated the Mother. “How unfortunate! But surely that didn't make you blaspheme, Sister!” “No, that wasn't it,” admitted Sister. “While I was still trying to fathom what had happened, this squirrel runs out of the woods, grabs my ball and runs off down the fairway!” “Oh, that would have made me blaspheme!” sympathized the Mother. “But I didn't, Mother!” sobbed the Sister. “And I was so proud of myself! And while I was pondering whether this was a sign from God, this hawk swoops out of the sky and grabs the squirrel and flies off, with my ball still clutched in his paws!” “So that's when you cursed,” said the Mother with a knowing smile. “Nope, that wasn't it either,” cried the Sister, anguished, “because as the hawk started to fly out of sight, the squirrel started struggling, and the hawk dropped him right there on the green, and the ball popped out of his paws and rolled to about 18 inches from the cup!” Mother Superior sat back in her chair, folded her arms across her chest, fixed the Sister with a baleful stare and said… “You missed the fuckin' putt, didn't you?”
  24. Not a picture, but we don't have a video of the day thread. These people had too much time on their hands, but it is cool.
