  1. About average speed bump size.
  2. This one is for @98Z5V Not in the road so he didn't ruin an RX7.
  3. Unfortunately, it is not a right of correct-thiking people to sterilize potentially bad parents.
  4. Good call. Anyone else that may need the advance notice?
  5. Can this post be added to the "What you need to know" thread?
  6. I agree with this completely. Every child has a mom and dad, at least biologically. It is an unfortunate reality that fewer of them have parents nowadays. As to medicating kids, it is done far too often to stop kids from being kids. They need to run and play to release energy. There are occasions where medicine is needed. Done correctly, like Tom's son and my nephew, it focuses the energy but doesn't take it away completely.
  7. I've heard of a new manufacturer out of N Cali that has some pretty good ideas. Maybe they will take on that project.
  8. Welcome from Texas
  9. I think this sums it up pretty well.
  10. A Larue MBT trigger is also a nice option at less than half the price. https://www.larue.com/products/larue-tactical-mbt-2s-trigger/
  11. Minimalist stocks are nice. I have one as do many others here.
  12. Is the $2500 with or without optics? How light are you wanting to go? Many here have built sub 8lb guns under your budget. But that is in .308. Are there other calibers you are considering? The parts don't all interchange because there is not a "milspec" for large frame ARs. Every manufacturer is free to adjust what they see fit. There should be others along with more questions and advice shortly.
  13. I will include you and your family in my prayers as well as the rest of the community. Thanks for taking the time to check in and update.
  14. Welcome from Texas.
  15. I just noticed that @mley1 is in Santa Fe, TX. I hope everything is OK with you and yours. Let us know if you get a chance.
  16. My brother works in a school district in North Texas. It is a small school district where all of the schools are next to each other and have less than a few hundred students total. He is going to a training over the summer where he will be allowed to carry at school for these type of incidents. There is at least one other person going at the same time with others to follow. I don't know much of anything about the training except that I doubt if it is long enough to prepare for the responsibility. IIRC, it is only 3 days. Hopefully, they have much more training through before he needs it.
  17. With enough notice, I can be off almost any time.
  18. Do you mean this Academy? http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2016/06/14/breaking-academy-sports-pulling-modern-sporting-rifles-shelves/

  21. Welcome to the forum. Look here for high vs. low profile rail system. I can't say what Diamondback uses though. https://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/category-s/312.htm
