I would not have passed the check since the magazine was published in Feb 67, which was 5 months before I was born.

I was looking through some of my dad's old magazines. I came across this in the back of an old American Rifleman. It seems like background checks were a little different back then.

That's just wrong... That I chuckled at that.

I went to one in Arlington, TX yesterday. They were up to 60% off with guns at 20-25% off. I saw several items that were obviously marked up before the discount was applied. One example: A Ruger SR1911 commander "regular price" $999; 20% discount made it $799. Example 2: They had this black powder rifle for $499 marked down 40% to $299. It was still more than Cabelas. There were others as well. I only bought some batteries and a pair of pants.

You're going to have to work on your sandbagging techniques.

I have not got an email from them yet. I will look into it tomorrow. As I said would happen, I forgot how long it has been.
