  1. Armed Eye Doc

    Howdy

Welcome from the east side of the state.
  2. But when you get things right, they are words to share with posterity. What you wrote are words to live by, at least on the Internet.
  3. This picture does not do justice to the beauty and craftsmanship of these two points. Thanks for the donation of them @Magwa
  4. Short of some made-for-TV catastrophe, I don't see any way to revert to smaller farms as the rule instead of the exception. 40 years ago, It was difficult to make a living farming. I would think the family farm would be near impossible to achieve these days. Plus, how many young people these days would want to work as hard as is necessary to make a farm run? I heard recently that the average age of farmers was around, or slightly over, 60 y/o.
  5. My grandfather had a dairy farm for 40 years. I would spend a month or more during the summer when I was a kid to help haul hay (and a lot of playing in the country). This would have been late 70's and early 80's. When we needed milk for cereal, we just got it out of the tank. I drank that for years until me and lactose had a disagreement. When my older brothers went out there, he would also kill and butcher his own beef.
  6. Welcome from Texas.
  7. That's great news!
  8. Ill add a few more.
  9. That thing would ruin a bunch of hogs in a hurry.
  10. Cash or the Visa card would be equally easy to spend on most things. Cash is better for incidentals though. And it is easier to divide between family members.
  11. Wow, That's nice!!
  12. I'll see if I can figure it out when it gets here. But I'm as white as can be, so don't hold out much hope.
  13. Thanks, this will be my favorite blade by far.
  14. One well-placed .22 Is better than a full mag of any caliber if they all miss the target. That said, I would rather take my chances with a .45.
  15. PM sent, money sent.
  16. Mardi Gras will be over Tuesday night, so no huge crowds. But that doesn't mean people won't overdrink.
  17. Welcome from Texas
  18. Another bump with a reminder of what the proceeds go to.
  19. I would bid on this, but I have several of these already. I can say that I paid more for mine than the current bid. And remember that the proceeds go to a great cause.
  20. I'll bump this up so the weekend people have a chance to see it.
