  1. I went to one in Arlington, TX yesterday. They were up to 60% off with guns at 20-25% off. I saw several items that were obviously marked up before the discount was applied. One example: A Ruger SR1911 commander "regular price" $999; 20% discount made it $799. Example 2: They had this black powder rifle for $499 marked down 40% to $299. It was still more than Cabelas. There were others as well. I only bought some batteries and a pair of pants.
  2. You're going to have to work on your sandbagging techniques.
  3. I have not got an email from them yet. I will look into it tomorrow. As I said would happen, I forgot how long it has been.
  4. Another Texas welcome.
  5. Nice looking rifles. And another Texas welcome.
  6. Without close-up pictures of the gun, especially the receiver, it would be very hard to determine. There may be some here who could tell by the picture, but I wouldn't bet on it. Welcome to the forum.
  7. I glanced at a couple of other sites to see if it was more widespread. I didn't see mention of blown primers anywhere else. It may have been a couple of lots that Midway purchased.
  8. I went to see if your review was on Midway's site but I don't see it. There were several other people who reported blown primers in the 55gr ammo. They all seem to be in the last couple of months. Here is a review one guy posted. Looks like quality control issues By Mike from Minnesota About Me Enthusiast See all my reviews I am also having some pressure issues with this batch. After seeing all the reviews and having some issues myself, I did some basic testing. My lot is #00218/G and after blowing a few primers and seeing other obvious signs of high pressure (primer cratering, witness marks on case left by the ejector hole in bolt and extreme "scrubbing" of head stamps), set up the chronograph. On several 20 round strings, the extreme spread was 119 to 140 fps. I checked each round after firing and found that the rounds that had blown primers (or gas leakage due to stretched primer pockets - primers fell out after tapping the case on a bench) were running about 80fps faster than the average of rounds that did not show issues. After editing strings taking out the 2-3 hot rounds, the strings ran pretty consistent with an average velocity of 3168fps with extreme spread in strings of 39 to 53fps, which is typical out of this rifle - a stock 5.56x45 M&P15. The cartridges with blown primers were all running around 3240fps with one as high as 3280fps. Some 30 round boxes had no issues, while others had two or three of these "hot" rounds. There is no way to tell which ones are bad until you drop the hammer. This seems like an obvious quality control issue. I like IMI ammo and have been very happy with it up to this point. While they do group quite well, I can't recommend this ammunition until this issue is worked out - at least not this lot number.
  9. Bubba, you seem to know this person. How close are you to him?
  10. Welcome to the forum from Texas.
  11. Have a great day. A special thanks to all of those men and women who are away from home protecting our freedoms that we celebrate today.
  12. Steel. $5 shipping over $99 including ammo. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Red-Army-Standard-X-mm-Round-Ammunition-Tin/2289268.uts
  13. It's great that y'all found time to get away for a little while. I can't imagine sitting on a bike for that long, but it does look like beautiful scenery toride through.
  14. Thanks!
  15. Herr was the result of the loins. I tasted a little bit of it but didn't taste maple. It could be because of inconsistent injection.
  16. That looks yummy. I'll have to try that recipe the next time I make shrimp.
  17. Smoking some bacon wrapped pork loins for tomorrow. Just because I like maple flavoured sausage, I injected them with melted butter and maple syrup. Ill see how my experiment works in about 6 hours.
  18. Pictures of the ftf may be helpful. Remember to lube it very very well.
  19. One more Texas welcome.
  20. Welcome from Texas. I think your picture just caused half of the elected officials in California to seek a safe space because of how scary it looks. I like it.
  21. I went to the Flying Saucer once or twice when I lived down there. There is also one in Fort Worth that I went to several times as well. If you want to have lots of beer options, that is one place to go.
  22. I just watched your video and had to say that, as a non-military person, I found the content informative. But as an eye doctor, I loved your BCGs. I believe that the DOD bought several million crappy frames in the 50s and are still giving them to recruits to this day.
  23. Just like Washington DC and Chicago with strict gun laws, Seattle will blame their increased crime on surrounding areas. They will point to people who legally sell guns to Seattle residents and say those guns are to blame. It is never the failed policies that are at fault, regardless of how many times they have failed where ever they are passed.
  24. I did as well. I also am not on FB.
