The DART officer was a local guy with family still here. I know his dad and one brother. I just got back from the viewing. It was sad as expected. I saw numerous LEO's from as far away as New York.
Thanks for the offer Wash, I smoked a couple of pork tenderloins with apple wood. Marinated in some store bought stuff. I had company at lunch and didn't have much time to prepare.
Here's the remnants.
Here's one story with a link to a CBS story that says SKS. I've never heard of the Web page before, so I can't say that it is factual.

At least the moron in charge has acknowledged this.
Half Mast Flag News
The United States Flags are at Half Staff Immediately Until Sunset on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 Honoring the Victims of the Attack in Dallas, Texas
Welcome from a little SE of you down 287. Thank you for your service.
I was born and raised in south FW. Most of my family still lives in or around there.
My dad needs one of those. He lost his right eye to a piece of wire 60 years ago. He shot left handed until he had a defibrillator put in last year and was told not to have recoil on his left shoulder. Now it's either pistols or a 22.
The first one I saw in the wild was in the stock tank about 200 yards from the house I was living in at the time. I live about an hour south of Dallas. It's not well known gator country, but there are some that come up the creeks from the south.
You really need something a little bigger than the small ones because you will need a vice to hold it steady. A milling vice to move it around is extremely helpful.
I bought this drill press and this vice. As was said, watch plenty of videos before jumping in.
Here is a story about it. They are apparently pulling modern sporting rifles to the back as well.
