  1. Cell phone cameras are the origin of the videos being analyzed by the experts. We start there.
  2. Sound travels at the same speed true, but the direction greatly changes what you hear. I'll do a test video when we meet up in a couple weeks and see what we get. I'll place my phone out at 450 yards and shoot a few angles around it. Hopefully...my phone will survive the experiment...we will not be using Vera.
  3. I was wondering if the direction of the muzzle could cause the difference in sound. Like as he's sweeping. The shots fired directly towards the person with the camera being louder than shots at the other end. What I haven't heard is two distinct strings of fire occurring at exactly the same time. Either they were extremely well coordinated, or there was only one shooter and the audio evidence is explainable another way.
  4. That's a pretty convincing video, though I'm still not convinced. And I completely agree - she seemed to know what was up.
  5. I learned that dude is pretty full of himself. Not saying I don't trust his method, but I think he's got a handful of factors he's convieniently not considering. what are the report times for .308? Do we know all of the calibers used yet?i see he lined up the end shots, however the peaks of each frequency will create a signature that should be able to be verified between each other. What is the margin of error in these calculations and how much does the range of the shooter fluctuate when accounting for the error?
  6. I have a family member that was a facial reconstructive surgeon. He put a lot of failed attempts back together...or as much together as he could. Long shotguns were usually to blame. Put it under the chin and have to reach down to pull the trigger which would cause them to tilt their head back a little. Messy deal.
  7. Not in the case of shot in the head. Pretty normal in that circumstance, actually
  8. That's gonna make one hell of a Stanley-Steamer commercial....if you can get that out of the carpet, what can't you get?
  9. Good points out there on the tinfoil hat lines. Multiple guns in room...why? So we can parade each configuration and show how various parts made these lethal weapons even more evil. I get the feeling we're never going to know what happened. Now they say the guard was shot 6 minutes before the main shooting started. Yet he didn't radio or call for help? Was he a decoy? Was he there to buy someone else more time?
  10. That was more of an "add-on" than a quote...and yes, I've been talking to myself a lot. The good conversations I don't mind so much, but it gets really ugly when the voices aren't getting along.
  11. That's a shame, it would have been fun to meet you and to see Ron's distance broken (even with an asterisk). If things change or you get bored while you're here...you know where to look.
  12. Crap...now I have to build up the Rascal before the end of the month.
  13. Practicing on moving targets?
  14. Love you like a brother. See you soon.
  15. Which he did generously allow us all to waste for him... lighten up francis.
  16. I'm in. You had me a common sense. You're right....the Internet just isn't safe for anyone.
  17. Must have been using Mike's reloads. Was there gunpowder everywhere?
  18. Speaking of the girlfriend...I have a conspiracy theory brewing about that. I see two headlines on Drudge "room service for two" and "mystery woman" I have read neither of the articles, but what are the chances they're spreading stories about another woman to get the girlfriend fired up and pissed off enough to talk?
  19. People seem to like to talk about how the NRA has the government in its pocket...the pharma world pretty much owns them. It was the guns at fault...not the meds. The guns made him crazy.
  20. Aha. That's messed up.
  21. Little sledge hammer for the windows in the second pic
  22. So if that is the case, it would mean the talk about them being illegally modified would be false, right?
  23. I completely agree that it needs to be rewritten. Into small, simple, understandable and unambiguous words that even the dems can understand. "People can and should own guns. This right cannot be altered." Use a really big crayon to write it if you can.
  24. Come on man...it's almost twice the number...therefore it goes through twice as many infants.
  25. I'm pretty slow...and having a very hard time following you joke.
