We set up a studio for every friggin holiday for the first few years of my oldest boys life. I feel terrible that I've slacked on the youngest. I have an addictive personality. Photography started out cheap for me, just like guns...but that crap adds up. "Well if I get this...I need two of those...and if I have those I should probably get that too". I started with a 20d which is a 1.6 crop canon and a few cheap lenses. Bought the 1d which is still a 1.3 crop sensor and stated picking up some white glass. Then it was off to strobes and remote gear, then studio lights...recently picked up some more stands and modifiers....now I need.....a friggin money tree for the backyard. Maybe a few of em.
With Cali's crazy laws, I picked up 5 more AR lowers last year and if I have to go the "registration as an assault weapon" route...those all need to be complete guns by the end of the year. Yay!
It's all a sickness. I convinced myself, and my wife that I could make money with the gear. I love photography, but hate dealing with people....so that was not going to work out. At least she likes to shoot and prefers that our family be well armed. That makes the gun/gun part purchases a little easier to pull off.
