Can't even begin to explain the feeling of being tucked into a spot on a race course when those guys come by...close enough you could reach out and slap a tire. They play it up for the camera too...as soon as they see the vest...it's on. Those engines sound/feel amazing as they go by. I think most are in the 800-900 HP range. Makes me miss it. Bad. It's been 4 years since I shot a race and 7 years since I've been in BAJA. Next year I'm changing that. I'm going to do the San Felipe 250 for sure...maybe the 500 and going to do my best to hit the 1000 again. Used to do all 3 every year. The US races are ok, but they have greatly limited out ability to get up close and personal anymore.

About $400k gets you a good start. Then the prep and maintenance kick in. Gotta have serious flow to keep one up enough to drive it a second time.

Corey's truck and BJ's trophy truck are two totally different animals. I will say Corey looks waaaay better than BJ. Especially with a race suit half off and a bikini top. She's one of the better looking stadium racers out there.

I don't think I was clear. You aren't going to beat everyone with a fancy shotgun. It will be the snob that looks down at your 390 that will be fun to stomp (you will of course have to practice up a little). I'd bet that old boy shooting from a stool could school you with a wrist rocket. His 25000 Perazzi is just a nice perk. I could buy a race car, but I bet Mario Andretti (and most racers) would stick kick my ass with a smart car.

That takes me back...we had that exact fireplace when I was a kid. (5-10) Man, I've seen guys pull high scores with a mossberg 500 and a buttstock with a pistol grip. Shoot the shot outta that 390 and when the gun becomes your limitation....then worry about that BS. You will eventually hear it from some shotgun snob that rolls in with a $12k beretta (or worse) and you can laugh the whole way home when you outshoot him, or land within a couple of him. Had just as much fun for 11.5k less.

Ours were pvc all the way around though. Of it was just at ground level it might survive a little longer. Or, if you don't attack it with a slide fire sock and hundred round drums....she stands a much better chance

We used boxes from air compressors and what not. 3-4 feet tall. 2x2 feet wide. They worked great. Paste targets to em, shoot em up, then use em like trash cans on the way out. Fill em up with targets and left over cans.

You gotta have some good stories in there too....somewhere. If go back to eating mcdonalds, smoking, and drinking heavily. Might as well enjoy something...getting healthy is torturing you.
