  1. I like that scope & I even need one for my BLK .
  2. The Spikes 308AR's Receivers were built to DPMS standards ( some here have builds using them ), so more then likely its a DPMS type Barrel extension . I have been told , they are very good barrels & I believe they were .750" Gas Block Diameter. Your Gas Block looks odd , or the photo at a bad angle . You can contact Spikes by email or phone call & they will know . Fn made 5.56 Barrels for Spikes also .
  3. They suck now a days , that last pair I bought , didn't last six months , soles came unglued . I still have my pair like in this photo for over fifteen years , I can't even remember when I purchased them , it was so long ago . Went to Made in USA NB 's most comfortable gym shoe I have ever wore . Now about the rifle , I like it , but as said , 2K is a bit much ( glorified AK ) , price is lower then any other Piston 308AR rifle out there though .
  4. Nice looking rifle .
  5. I saw that looking around & It has a wider pad , but wonder if it sits higher then the Std . one .
  6. Most of whats out there are for AR 15's & most don't look like they raise the pad much if at all . Not sure how well they will weld , to add height . I think they are castings of some sort or the other , but they are not that expensive , just not sure of out come of welding on it .
  7. Where you purchased the Barrel from or the Manufacturer .
  8. So what I'm getting is the Bolt Stop is not raising far enough to sufficiently engage the Bolt face to hold the BCG back ? Will an empty Mag. work it properly ? Things to think about , wrong spring used with BS. , Burr's or Debris in BS. Spring hole in Lower Receiver , keeping BS. from operating correctly . Actual BS. Spring hole not to spec's. I have had to Stone down the stop pad on the BS. to get the BS. to raise higher to engage the Bolt Face properly .
  9. Some questions , Is it a DPMS or AR 10 type Barrel ? If so , what is the Gas Block diameter of the Barrel & did you get the same Diameter Gas Block ? ( .750", .836" or .936 " ) Gas Blocks on 308AR's are just like AR 15 's, they attach in several ways , Set Screws , Clamp type & Pined type ( like the Tapered A2 sight tower ) What is your Gas Block attachment type ? BCG depends on Barrel type , some say it doesn't matter , but I like to keep to type , to pick the BCG to use , be it DPMS or Armalite .
  10. Especially at Dark Thirty ! I was in PA & Bow Shot a Doe in the Neck & by the time we found her it was dark & gutting her I could hear the Bears grunting & sniffing , thats enough to make a quick drag out of there . Yote's or Wolfs , bad deal also at night .

    Big Trouble

Ya , but its out of stock !
  12. Nothing wrong with a Turret Press , its still one at a time , but the other Dies are already on the Press . Go single stage , with the die bushings , only takes a second to swap them out . I'm a Dillon fan , but have Lee 1000, Pacific single stage press , RCBS Green Machine & I want a new single stage , myself , my Pacific is very old .
  13. Bad Doggie ! They serve a purpose to an extent , but getting too friendly is very dangerous , same with Coyote's.
  14. Is that off a rest ? Front sight Blade too high ?
  15. What , we have to have standards now ?
  16. I don't think the 308 is a good match for 45 ACP chamber , it may droop or be pulled to one side , even if being held with the Extractor & give a false reading. I would use a rest & dial it in at short range & then move up in ranges , the Bore laser is a good Idea , but I have found , because of spin drift & other factors , they still need to be shot to see where they print on target. Some Lasers are very difficult to see in the day time , anyway.
  17. Interesting , I see refueling probes , like we use & a jump ramp like the British use . They seem to use the last Cable on landing also . http://www.popularmechanics.com/military/navy-ships/a23680/watch-flight-ops-on-russias-flat-top/
  18. You are referring to DNA results recorded at some other point in time . I didn't know they did any on that dress , that's different & if used in Public trial or inquiry , are they not public record & he should have no issue getting them . Makes one wonder .
  19. No issues at all , I almost ordered another one the other day , but my security system took a $hit & had to invest in replacing it .
  20. That DNA may be useless by now .
  21. That had to be some Fart to do that much burn !??
  22. I think it was a lucky hit or this one shooter had some good training or a lot of experience with Tank busting T-72's , which is a real possibility in that area . The newer anti Tank weapons available make things easier to defeat Armor & as said , it was a sitting duck . Sneaky Bastigaes .
  23. This I find interesting https://www.yahoo.com/finance/news/video-shows-isis-destroying-us-200731090.html
  24. Well ,you will need a rifle length Gas Tube , almost all 20" + Barrels are Rifle Length , a longer Hand Guard & Gas Block . Depending on how you want to set up the Hand Guard , A2 or a Free Float . If you want to change the Upper , You will have to look around for a Forward assist . I have a Fulton Armory , a real early one on my DPMS Lower & it has a Forward Assist , but don't see it on their sight .It fits like it was made by DPMS & may have been back then & has worked fine for a long time http://www.fulton-armory.com/upper-receiver-far-308-flattop-dpms-low-height.aspx My 16" also is a DPMS & has a Tactical Machining Upper on it & also fits & works fine , the only thing that i had to do was change out the Pivot & Disassembly Pins that came with it , for some reason the DPMS Pins were too tight to fit in the Uppers Pin holes . http://www.tacticalmachining.com/firearms-parts/308-upper-receiver/tm-308-stripped-upper-receiver.html We don't always like to use different manufacturers Receivers , because of fitment issues ( Tolerance Stacking ) these two seem to have no issues with DPMS made Lowers .
