  1. I hope not <dontknow>
  2. I agree , the paint is badass ! If your spring is not seated as those photo's show , you can twist the spring like a screw , to seat it , or should , I might say . Is there any Buffer or Spring in the Receiver Extension , in those photo's ?
  3. That video is a couple of years old & it is to the point .
  4. I agree with him , I won't own a firearm I will not shoot . Back when I was a FFL , no one wanted those rifles , yes they are collector rifles now , but they did not have a good reputation or following back then .
  5. Once you get the light figured out , thats an interesting tool . I would be looking at all my barrels . I wish you could get a photos inside a Barrel before you buy it . Then again , we might be shocked on how they look .
  6. What took so long & how much did the Commie's in office block this outcome ? http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2015/03/25/bowe-bergdahl-once-missing-u-s-soldier-charged-with-desertion/?hpid=z1
  7. I had a friend drop my Nikon equipped Slug gun from a tree stand , about fifteen feet & it was a hair off when re-sighting & still use the scope . He was half asleep & late to go out & grabbed mine instead of his . I can't believe he even told me about it , I was out already , hunting with my 44 Mag.Handgun .
  8. My head hurts from all the Head Banging <laughs> <thumbsup>
  9. Interesting , photo's make it look real long past the gas port , optical illusion ? Will be waiting for a range test on this Barrel <thumbsup>
  10. Not sure how you are measuring , but as said I have two 308AR DPMS Carbines & an extra spring & Buffer , measurements are ; Spring # 1- 11 1/4 " long Spring # 2- 11 1/8 " long Buffer # 1- 2.497 " long ( Measured with Digital Caliper ) Buffer # 2- 2.495 " long ( Measured with Digital Caliper ) Buffer # 1, WT. - 3.325 oz.( weighed with Pact digital Scale ) Buffer # 2, WT. - 3.312 oz.( weighed with Pact digital scale ) I didn't measure the third Spring/Buffer because I didn't think there would be significant differences with it & the others , but will if you want .All are DPMS components . Small differences can add up when Tolerances are close , as you probably know . I make springs for Firearms from spring stock , when the springs are no longer available ,( happens a lot ) I cut them & fit & function are trial & error with nothing to go by except a out of spec spring that you know is not working , so cutting a spring is not a big deal . I would make sure that the Action components are not binding with in the Upper Receiver & its Extension . I would also check for Hammer to Disconnector interference , you will see a mark on the Disconnector from the Hammer hitting it .
  11. See what happens when you have over 12K posts , you turn into a community organizer <laughs>
  12. I can see light at the end of the Tunnel ! <lmao> Maybe you need more lube .
  13. Is that a Mid length gas system on that 20" bbl. ? Never heard of this Barrel maker .
  14. Wonder if the finish on the stock is different than an A2. I'm going to check it again tonight .
  15. Doesn't the " Rico Act " cover this ? I think its a crime .
  16. Believe it of not , we see a lot of that with the 308AR's . This ones for Robocop <thumbsup> :yup: :hail: <laughs>
  17. Blue109 Did your sticker stick good on the stock ? I wiped mine with Alcohol & it stays , but is real easy to pull back off . Am I doing something wrong , I was worried about using a more powerful cleaner on the A2 stock . I used the one with the Black back ground on the black A2 stock & it looks real good .
  18. What does the HP bolt do that the STD bolt doesn't ? Also , the chamber may have something to do with it . tight , not to spec's etc.
  19. I have two Criterion Barrels & one is a 20" , way out shoots me , of course . No problem with sub MOA with it .
  20. Nothing wrong with those ammo types , use them if it suites you . I use 230 gr. FMJ in my carrie weapon & some are WWII era ammo ( yes they work just fine ) & some 230 gr. FMJ Hand Loads . Here's a thought on the Forensic aspics of the WWII Ball ammo , how would they test it or compare it if they don't have any to compare it to ?
  21. Spring seems a little too long . As said, count the coils . Photo below is a DPMS carbine spring , 11 1/4 "
  22. Just to be sure you know what I was speaking of ,my advice about hand loads had nothing to do what the dept. uses. I was trying to see what the rifles could do with precision ammo , if precision ammo, custom made , could not do any better in these rifles , I would send them both back for a rifle that will at least shoot MOA. I'm not worried about using my hand loads for carrie , at all & if they are going to throw the book at me for defending my or my families lives , so be it .
  23. It happens to 308AR's also , its happened to me , when I hand load a cartridge to too high of chamber pressure. If the firing Pin hole in the Bolt face is too large , letting the Primer flow into the gap when cartridge is fired , weakening the primer cup . It would happen to a smaller Firing Pin also if the Hole for the firing Pin is too large also . I think it has nothing to do with FP size. Just so you know , when a Cartridge is set off buy striking the Primer , the Primer actually backs out of its pocket slightly from the ignition pressure & with the pressure expanding the case , the Primer is basically , re-seated into the case . This may also be a case of the wrong manufacturers primer for the pressure exerted on it . - Has anyone did a survey on primers used & what Manufacturer ? - Have they tried MilSpec Primers ?
  24. Remove some material from the Hole in the Hand Guard to let the gas tube pass through , as long as you don't go too crazy on the material removal , shouldn't be a problem . You can also use the next size drill bit to make that one Hole slightly larger also.
  25. You would know <lmao>
