  1. That's pretty cool !
  2. I like the way you think . Let us know when you have some available , after the mass quantity buyers get out of the way . <laughs>
  3. Photo of the Barrel Nut ?
  4. I keep expecting them to pop out <lmao>
  5. I see that the Socialist Democrats are introducing a Bill to ban all ammo that is capable of penetrating Police Body Armor . That will cover all rifle ammunition ! Seems like after watching the Video here , that it would cover a lot of hand gun ammo also . What idiots !
  6. Let us know how it turns out .
  7. Photo's of the build <thumbsup>
  8. What gas system is that barrel ? Great collection of Parts .
  9. Does it work ? <dontknow>
  10. Officer's discretion . <dontknow>
  11. For the same problem ? If so get back with them, they didn't repair it . <thumbsup>
  12. The actual latches are the same for both AR 15 & 308AR's , the charging handle itself is longer on the 308AR's & the over sized latches do help . I noticed abnormal wear on the one side of the the charging handle channel from the side torque increase from the one I had . I have a photo I think some where or I can take another . May I recommend a complete replacement to a Ambidextrous over sized charging Handle from http://mechdefense.com. I have them in almost all my AR's . He is a sight supporter & their charging handles make it so easy to cycle the handle . Check them out .
  13. Why ? <dontknow> not worth it on many levels .
  14. I have a similar one on my bench , works fine .
  15. This ! <thumbsup>
  16. No photo's , I pushed it back in once I straightened out the Hammer , before I even had a thought about it . As most know , once the Hammer pin comes out of the Receiver hole , spring pressure forces it cocked to one side & to install the Pin , you have to over come spring pressure to align the Hammer, for the Pin to go in the far side . I'm more surprised this "Marine "didn't notice the pin sticking out & I'll bet he was MF'ing himself when he left here . Since he knows I'm Navy <lmao> Didn't cost him a dime , except the fuel to come over here . Thanks, 98 , I couldn't remember the name of that damn spring & was too lazy to look up the name , I figured most would know what i was speaking of . I have heard of people replacing them , but on a std Hammer , bye bye Hammer , not worth it to me . I've looked at the spring before & really don't want to even play with any replacement . You can only see a little of that spring & how to get it out would take some doing . STD MilSpec Hammers are cheap .
  17. What's the specific's on that ?
  18. Very interesting video .
  19. This is for an AR 15 , but relates to any caliber AR . Had an AR 15 come to me today because of Failure to fire any brand of ammo & as soon as I looked at the rifle , I could see the Hammer pin was out about an 1/8" or so & the Hammer was cocked to one side . I put the pin in all the way & it seemed to lock in place on the pin keeper . Using a primed empty case , it set the primer off , no problem . I removed the FCG & the Hammer looked like it was OK in the Pin hole , with the wire in the middle that holds the Pin in place , but didn't want to take the chance of it being broken or weak & having this happen again , so I replaced the FCG . Another primed empty case & it fired off the Primer . He was Happy because I put in a Spikes Enhanced trigger group w/Pins , I had sitting around . Just thought I'd pass it along , because I have heard of the Pin Keeper in the Hammer losing its capability to Keep The Pin in place , but have never seen one do it , not that its 100% certain , this one did , but why take the chance , as said. The owner is not the type to disassemble any more than normal cleaning , so I can rule out someone removing & not assembling correctly . He took it home & dumped a twenty rounder & all is well .
  20. Seems the witness was right about it sounding like a handgun , a .40 Cal. from the arrest they made . 125 yards , three shots , from a twenty year old , that's real good shooting or more likely blind luck . Of course not for the two LEO's . This Hood just gangster rapped off three rounds , expecting to scatter the crowd. Showing how big of a Gangster he is . I can see him & the others that were probably with him , being that stupid . <dontknow> http://news.yahoo.com/police-ferguson-gunman-arrested-may-have-not-been-targeting-officers-220459022.html
  21. Two o-rings around the spring ? I would think one would be sufficient with the spring . I have a tool to remove the Ejector , but its not needed , but makes it so easy, I wouldn't do one with out it now. May just fall out , but don't bet on it . Put a box or something in front of the Bolt face ,that will stop it , the Pin Punch should stop the ejector from flying out , just put your finger in front of the Ejector , then remove the Punch. Putting it back in is the challenge , that pin slot in the Ejector has to be lined up to drive the pin back in. You can get it set up with another Pin or punch , to help reinstall the pin . Waiting for the lower to test & fire the complete rifle may help , but you can oil the Ejector & work it with a Pin Punch & the Ejector may loosen up a bit . I disassemble , clean & inspect ,every Bolt before installing .
  22. 8 # 'ers are the way to go when you can get them . I have no stores around my area that sell Components . As a disclaimer , I myself don't have any ammo or firearms with which to shoot such components . <thumbsup>
  23. One word ....................................................LOQUACIOUS <laughs> Would not put it past the Insurgents we have running the Gov. right now , to get or fix an LEO getting shot with a M855 , just to show that it could happen ! <dontknow>
