  1. Piston with return spring wrapped around it for returning the BCG back into Battery .
  2. Photo's <thumbsup>
  3. Photo's of the Lancers & maybe of one disassembled , Please . <thumbsup>
  4. You can be assured its not a TON of pressure <laughs>. Still shouldn't need a lot of hand pressure to seat it , I would like to see if the chamber head spaces correctly . I just got over my MAC 10 Pinch & not all that willing to stick my finger any where it doesn't belong , even by accident ! I will not participate in your Smashed finger nail Fetish ! <lmao>
  5. Usually you have to sign in to show their sale price . I'm not LEO & logged in & the price went to $ 230.
  6. Or get an Adj. Gas Block that you can close the port up completely. <thumbsup> I never though about the cost of the Gunsmith, An 308AR Barrel might be the way to go , the Gunsmith may just want to try the job out for his own experience . He might get more to do or make Barrels up to sell , just for this type of thing . <dontknow>
  7. I believe because it was an early made CMMG Billet 308 Lower / SI Defense ,Gen. II Billet ,Upper & PMags were just a thought for 308AR's , it was made to work with Steel Mags , which it does , works fine with every Metal Mag. I put in there , but for some reason , PMags are not reliable in it . I fixed it by switching out both Upper & Lower Receivers . Yes, Basically a New rifle <laughs> ,But works with all Brand/type Mags now. ( You could call it " Tolerance Stacking " ) I've been woking on a fix for the CMMG / SI Defense Receivers & when I get a Barrel , I can see if it works .
  8. OCP , What length barrel are you using or wanting flash suppression ?
  9. Easy , DSG has these on sale right now for $ 230 . both front & back Plates . https://dsgarms.com/ktibaia0035?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_content=Titanium/Steel%2010x12%20Level%20III%20Front%20%26%20Rear%20Strike%20Plate&utm_campaign=DSG%27s%20Pot%20Of%20Gold
  10. And a Tubb's Flat wire ,Buffer spring will do the same for less $$ & all the poster has to do is purchase a Commercial stock of their choice . <thumbsup> Nothing wrong with a Commercial Receiver Extension , I have one on my 16"308AR & has been working fine for years . I can tell you the Superior spring will make a big difference in recoil . <dontknow> Tubb Precision AR-10 CS Buffer Spring (Fits both Carbine and Standard lengh stocks) Brand: David Tubb Product Code: ARBUFSR Availability: 2195 Price: $29.95 Qty: - OR - Add to Wish List Add to Compare 0 reviews | Write a review More Sharing ServicesShare Share on emailShare on print Share on facebook Share on twitter Description Reviews (0) Videos (2) High Performance Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring for AR-10, SR-25 Rifles & Carbines. This Tubb Precision AR-10, SR-25 Flatwire Buffer Spring fits both carbine and standard length stocks. Why should you use Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Springs? -Extended life at optimum performance! Many conventional buffer springs are constructed from music wire or non post winding processed stainless steel. Their performance becomes suspect in as little as 500 rounds and can cause rifle performance to degrade to the point that rifle function will change. We fielded many questions from people complaining about "mystery malfunctions" when their rifles get past that round count , and we've found installation of a Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring cures nearly all of them, and it cures them for good. -Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Springs are unique in the fact that their load and compression rates fluctuate significantly less than a standard buffer spring. Standard buffer spring load Bolt in battery: 7.2 lbs Bolt locked open: 16.5 lbs Standard buffer spring variation: 7.5 lbs Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring Bolt in battery: 11.1 lbs Bolt locked open: 15.0 lbs Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring variation: 3.9 lbs The Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring provides a more positive lock up when the bolt is in battery while providing the user with a linear pull when locking the bolt back instead of the clunky progressive feel of a standard mil spec buffer spring This is the last Buffer Spring you'll ever need for your 308 AR! Tubb Precision springs are duty rated for 500,000 compression cycles at maximum performance. Enhanced rifle performance - Due to the superior nature of its material, Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Springs have the same power as conventionally constructed "extra power" springs, yet provide that extra energy using a lighter spring weight. Correct timing and resistance on the recoil stroke and a controlled rebound ensures reliable feeding with consistent forward thrust. The result is that the rifle functions flawlessly and stays on target better. With the Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Spring, the bolt will remain locked a little longer, allowing pressures more time to subside. This means getting those heavy bullets to needed velocities can be more readily accomplished. Tubb Precision Springs cure spring induced malfunctions for the life of the rifle. Unaffected by temperature - Music wire and carbon steel springs are adversely affected by temperatures as low as only 175° F. TubbSprings perform flawlessly in excess of 700° F. Performance and function will not change during rapid fire conditions. Perfect consistency - Tubb Precision Flatwire Buffer Springs are made to Stringent 9002 Quality Control Standards. Certified materials use, and our exclusive post-winding processing guarantees true, consistent performance. Conventional AR-10, SR-25 buffer springs are notorious for exhibiting wide variances in installed load height, compression and rebound performance, and even length. Unless you're using Tubb Precision springs in your rifle, not only are you frequently replacing springs, but rifle performance may be continually changing with each replacement. MADE IN THE USA
  11. Maybe the poster just wants a Milspec size Receiver Extension because everyone on the Net say's its better , stronger & will make the rifle more accurate & make you rich , beyond belief ? <dontknow> All that needs to be changed is the Receiver Extension ( Buffer tube ) as has been said , all your parts will go into or on ,the MilSpec Receiver Extension , chose your Stock to fit the smaller outside dia., MilSpec Receiver Extension. Check in the 308 Technical section for Parts or Building, to review Muzzle Devices. Always use a Barrel vice blocks or Barrel Locking device to remove or install muzzle devices , some are Loc tited on .
  12. Where's Ma deuce when you need him . <laughs>
  13. I have a POF NP3 Upper Receiver & its silver ,like , in color.
  14. What does it weigh ,,, Carbine or Rifle ?
  15. My 16" gas port is real close to 0.1095" & works just fine . ( thats the size I have in my notes , any way )
  16. 16" /rifle gas , Fulton/ Criterion bbl.. 20" / rifle gas . Fulton /Criterion bbl.
  17. I have a POF that has a Ambi. Bolt release/catch also
  18. I asked for one of each & send what you can or have available , no problem . <thumbsup>
  19. One witness said they ( shooter(s)) seemed to be 400-600' away & he said it sounded like a Handgun . Now not sure if he is any good at range estimation , but he said he did see the muzzle flashes . That's some good hand gun shooting if it was , three shot & two connected in the upper torso area , interesting .
  20. All depends on the contour of the barrel , some don't have enough material to move the chamber forward & have enough material ( diameter ) to safely do this .Cutting off the org. threads & then rethreading for a Barrel Extension will take some thinking , but doable . Whats nice about it , as was mentioned , is not worrying about a gas port alignment to the indexing pin on the Extension . Tell him we need photo's of the stages of the process . <thumbsup>
  21. Here's the thread on his AR15 Bolt , with photo's
  22. I would check to make sure the Dummy round is of the correct caliber & not damaged in some way .You make it sound as if you would need a press to seat/chamber the round . You should have no problem over coming the slight pressure the Extractor & Ejector exert. You should be able to force it into battery with the palm of your hand . How much pressure does everyone think the Buffer Spring exerts to chamber a round . Its not much , it also has to strip a fresh cartridge from the magazine , which slows the force of the spring down, before the spring pressure chambers the cartridge . I just chambered a hand loaded dummy round into two of my 308AR's by pushing the BCG , with the palm of my hand The Upper shot gun'ed from the lower & ejected with out a problem. You have something not right , be it the dummy round or there is something about the head space of that Upper or your ton of pressure is just something your not used to . DO NOT force the dummy round if it is taking a metric ton of pressure & not chambering , its your decision & experience if you think its too much , take it to some one to have them check it out . Be careful & let us know what you come up with & photo's always are welcome <thumbsup>
  23. Did you purchase a complete Upper with BCG ? What kind of ammo ? If your sitting at home in front of your PC ,You should be using dummy ammo for testing. There should be some pressure to seat the Bolt , have you tried pushing it in to seat ( make sure you have the charging handle installed ) & how much pressure did it take to lock & how was it to eject the chambered round ?
  24. 30'06 to 308 cal . is he going to install a chamber conversion sleeve ? Just wondering . Interesting concept , too bad the Commie's make so you have to do something like this.
  25. Put them on FB after you fill my order . <lmao>
