  1. Nice .I love a happy ending .
  2. You 'all are buying too many SBR's & Suppressors http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/04/24/atf-guns-registration/8115273/
  3. Interesting. I guess your out of luck , if you have a std pined A 2 front sight.
  4. Those would be good numbers if they all had to shoot 12 ga. slugs & " 00 " for qualifications .
  5. I personally stay away from exposed lead bullets in auto fed actions , mainly because I have seen lead shaved off the nose of the bullets that can cause failures . I have seen lead shavings on locking lugs & in the chamber . I had to ream lead build up from a 308 chamber , where it had kept the cartridge from seating ,causing a head spacing problem . Just make sure to keep the chamber & barrel extension areas clean . PMags , of course.
  6. I enlarged that photo & it does look like the grove is not as pronounced ( or as deep ) as the improved new one .
  7. 5 million rounds a year , whats that break down to per officer ? I also have no problem with ammo that's needed , but the way I see it , its a pattern or buying spree .
  8. Aluminum hand guards get hot just being in the sun. With out vents , makes it worse, then add rapid fire strings or prolonged firing , the heat adds up .
  9. If new & not working properly , I would send it back . If that is not what you want to do , it could be too much spring tension on the latch & not letting the charging handle go far enough to engage the catch in the upper for the latch. Inspect for burr's on the latches face , if any or if it looks rough , you can polish the latch that leads up to the hook part on the latch. Check to make sure latch in charging handle has complete freedom of movement in the charging handle . I have seen some tight ones because of fitment or coatings on metal parts.
  10. This is just another way to keep any form of ammo out of our hands , because it keeps the manufacturers busy making it for the Gov.. They will probably be buying Millions of Arrows & Bolts next ! <laughs>
  11. So who has them for sale ? In stock ? & Yes , I'm lazy tonight.
  12. Some one else asked that around here , not too long ago & the above was the same answer. Can you still make one , Drew or own one . <dontknow>
  13. Did you just replace the latch on the charging handle or the whole charging handle from BRO. ?
  14. We pretty much support the Chinese economy any way, hard to find most things "made in the USA " now a days. We get loans from China from the money they make off of the products we buy here made by them . Viscous circle. This Administration is owned by China !
  15. Do you already have a 308AR ? If not , I would go for the 308 , just because of ammo availability . Those other calibers sound great , until you want ammo for them . You can get 308 anywhere , wally world , K-mart , or any sporting goods store out in the boonies , if your hunting. I like the ballistics of 6.8 , & 6.5 CM , just don't know much about them . If the 6.5 CM is your choice , get into reloading & most of the ammo problems go away.
  16. http://www.infowars.com/homeland-security-to-purchase-25-million-shotgun-rounds/
  17. I would like a couple of them ,not that I need any more Mags..
  18. I like that . Any special prep to the hand guard to paint it ?
  19. My 2005 F150 has a Aluminum hood , but I think thats it , the rest is steel . My wife's 2011 Mustang has a lot of Aluminum body panels on it . With the loss of weight , drivability may or may not suffer .
  20. Looks like John Karrie ? <lmao>
  21. One was two stalls down from me two weeks ago , I had to put head phones on over my plugs , it was so much concussion under that roofed area (200 yards. ) I walked down there on a clear range & looked at one of the cases & asked if they reloaded for it yet < they were using factory ammo , $ 112 tag on the box & they left an empty case for me to find & keep . Nice !
  22. I have a POF upper that is NIB ,but lower is not & a NIB charging handle also , but has a std Phosphate BCG . If your bolt isn't NIB , you can have it coated , but I would re-check head space because they can get a little tight with any coating , should be fine though. Shadow Ops Weaponry has NIB coated BCG's also . I have one now in my 16" 308AR & its seems to easier to wipe down then the DPMS Chrome one that was in before. If you want the full effect of the NIB coating , any part that can cause friction ,upon any part , would be coated & that would include the inside of the receiver extension & buffer .
  23. It looks like the G2 has a lot of proprietary parts from DPMS , so it may or may not have customizing parts available. They say its uses AR 15 type/size hand guards , but who knows what that means . DPMS may be the only place to get anything from . You people who have these new rifles may have your work cut out for you & of course , you have to report back to us about what you find . <thumbsup>
  24. Sorry , Tom , She owns it all . Have you shown her how to replace trigger system yet ? If so , your really screwed , she may already have the 3G . <laughs>
