  1. Welcome from Fla.
  2. My dog got bit by a Pigmy Rattle Snake over a year ago , he no longer with us , but not because of the bite , but sure it didn't help with his body fighting through it . Very ugly wound from them things & I wish I had taken photos when his leg was four times its normal size , but here are a few i did get . Of course here in Fla. we have just about every venomous snake thats available in the USA Five min. after the bite it did heal, finally & after a couple grand in vet bills RIP Sampson ,my old friend
  3. Ravenworks ,Its good your" Angle" Wife showed up ! Many people have Heart Attacks & don't know it or shrug off the symptoms , I know I did ! I have three Stints & had my Aortic Valve replaced last year , one day in the Hospital & more med's , but that valve sure made a difference .The Valve ( TAVR ) & double Stint were done through my Leg & one of the Stints was done through my Arm .
  4. I always wonder where Hollywood gets their ideas or Movie Scrips from, besides someone writing a BS Book , but just maybe, there is some kind of shadowy Assassins guild out there , not like the one like the movies like this one & " Polar ", ( great movie ) but some shadowy group , maybe a world Mafia type . This may explain all the people that mysteriously DIE around the Clintons & Democommie's & no one can put a finger on who , what & sometimes where or fear may keep even ( Some ) LE from digging deeper . Edited for clarity , because for LE to be in fear , they are probable not rank & file .
  5. Why not , you have tangled with just about every other critter 😎
  6. I guess I should clarify the above statement also , If there is any pressure of the Carrier Key against the CH when BCG reciprocates , it will throw the Timing of the Action way out of wack & should show up on the under side of the CH , where the Key resides . WE all know or should know, that the CH does not cycle with the BCG & the CH is manually operated by the shooter . I would like to see the under, inside of the CH where the Carrier Key resides , but as I said , it could be just the photo & may not have any wear marks. Some ( CH ) have Pad on the top front of the CH , & of course the guide ears along the sides .I have two loose LR CH's that have no raised pad up front , but a AR 15 one I have does have the front pad , but none of them show much wear other then the Guide Ears & some along the thin rails of the Channel cut out for the Key , As do the Upper Receivers , very little Upper Receiver wear where the CH rides , except where the Guide Ears ride. This Rifle has a low round count & unless there is some fitment issue , I can't see where there should be much wear .
  7. Hope you didn't send it to Ruger & got that response .
  8. Wasn't sure if this was the place to put this , but its pretty amazing . Très belles chaussures1.mp4
  9. It's not if , because they can determine anything law makers can come up with as unconstitutional & that will make it null & void . They do something like it every year . It is wishful thinking that they do so , but they have the power & final say , it's their job . They are not adding anything , to anything or making/changing a law , just making a judgement call on its constitutionality .
  10. What if they make a decision its unconstitutional ?
  11. I should have explained it better , I was referring to the area , as if the Carrier Key is forcing the CH up against it & yes I know the CH is between the Key & Upper Receiver .
  12. If this is a Armalite factory built Rifle , I would contact them & see if they will look at it under warranty . What I see is , from what I have read , the AR 10 Rifle Buffer Spring has 35 coils & yours seems to have 45 coils , if my counting is correct & Spring seems short according to the spec's I have read . Split cases are not unusual with some of the wildcat cartridges , older ammo may be an issue also .Normally when you are splitting case necks on new ammo , there is a Chamber or ammo issue . Have to start at the basic's , Head Space , Chamber clean & clear of Reamer marks , Barrels gas port size ( drill Bits work well as gages ) It may be the photo , but it looks like there is a good bit of wear on the Upper Receiver where the Carrier Key is riding at the top of the Upper Receivers Channel ?
  13. Ya, it's amazing how the public never hears the facts & if we do we only get what they want us to hear . It's like pulling teeth to get updates. Nor do we know if the Suppressor truly was used . I found that quote about not a" Bearable Arm" to be a bit troubling , but until SCOTUS really gets to a decision on " Shall not be Infringed " we will get lower courts making dumb a$$ statements .
  14. I'm not sure who to feel sorry for !
  15. Read this & also these two quotes are interesting . https://www.news4jax.com/news/politics/supreme-court-rejects-challenges-to-silencer-laws " An appeals court had held that a silencer is not a "bearable" arm protected by the Constitution. " ( Bump Stocks would also fall under this ) " The Trump administration had also urged the court not to take up the issue."
  16. No , take me , I may be old , but will change targets on the stands & like to clean firearms 😳. I'm taking bets it never makes it to Christmas before he gets it .
  17. Since you are using the same Bolt with two different Barrels , I would be looking at the Extractor & Spring first . You usually won't have a timing issue with a Rifle length ( or more ) Gas system , but an over Gassed system could give issues ( too large of Barrel Gas Port ? ) . Did both Barrels Head Space OK ? Photo's of spent Brass & Bolt components & Buffer system would be nice , including Buffer spring length & Coil count .
  18. Gee , another Barrel that has a Gas Port too small , that's new 🙄 I have had LR PMags since the first one came out & I don't remember a Gen. two , I thought they went right from the first original LR PMag ,right to the Gen 3 . I have so many of them , how do you know it's a Gen. two ? This is also the first I have heard of a Mag issue with the Small Framed 308 AR's . I had plenty of issues with one build with mixed manufactures Upper & Lower Receivers , but it wasn't a lock back issue , it was Tolerance stacking issue ( intermittent FTF ) , rifle also worked with all other Steel Mags & L7 Lancers, but would not work the the Org. LR PMag . The Gen. 3 LR PMag. when it came out ,worked fine in this particular build ( its why you should always use same Manufacturer for Receivers ) , so something did change in the two Gen. LR PMags .. If thats all it takes is to alter the Follower to make it work in your particular SF 308AR , thats an easy fix , but it's probably not the PMag , it is the tolerances of the Rifle, IMO.
  19. Looks like it has a full 11 deg. Crown on it already or did you add it ?
  20. Not sure if this has been brought up here , but its the first test I have seen on it . interesting it is for sure .
  21. You must think I'm new here .😎
  22. It looks different & has a weight in the BC Body & has a special coating to limit friction . Also notice, one staked Screw for attachment, maybe its dovetailed in or something also . Who's first to buy & test one of these ? https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/bolt-parts/bolt-carrier-groups/m16-optimized-bolt-carrier-group-mpi-black-sku152000263-128171-230452.aspx?trk_msg=SAPET29O4IK497O7BC2PAULFB4&trk_contact=2JJJVUF1UDMRTL1H7DD8FULMM0&trk_module=bna&trk_sid=AJSKRHH1FEU30LK6IOQF7R2A4O&utm_source=listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=CHECK+IT+OUT&utm_campaign=Browse-Abandonment&utm_content=Product-Browse-Message-1
  23. That Spring as 98 said has too many Coils to be DPMS 308 Carbine . Milspc could mean "not Commercial dia. " but mil spec dia. . I have not read the complete thread , but it appears you are setting these complete Uppers on 80% Lowers ( 308 AR type ) ? Have you Tried any of the 308AR Upper assemblies on a complete Factory 308AR Lower ? Like a DPMS LR Lower Receiver . Tolerance stacking is an infection with different brand Receiver use. Mix & match with Receivers is a crap shoot & then throw in an 80% with Jig Milling , just a recipe for issues . I find that the Mag Catch placement is one of Tolerance Stacking issues , when using too different brand Receivers in the 308AR world . Seems some Manufacturers have their own Ideas of what is Spec for their Receivers . As has been posted , use one type Buffer system or the other ( DPMS LR or Armalite AR 10 ), all the Spec's on the two systems are described on this Forum in many places , 308Parts Section would be one of them .
  24. Thanks , been too busy lately . Some other shooter at the range & I were talking about a longer Gas Tube for a Longer 6.5 CM Barrel he was building & for the life of me I couldn't remember who it was that made them . Searching didn't help , so thanks , I knew I read it here somewhere .
  25. I can't seem to find the company who makes custom Gas Tubes for AR's .Tried searching here & else where & I thought I read on them here , just can't find the thread . Thanks in advance .
