Check for Burr's inside the Upper's Charging handles raceway or tunnel . Most Charging handles will wear on one side depending on what hand you pull it back with , it gets pulled to one side & it will show signs even worse , with of those fancy over sized release levers on it . -

They called me back today & left a message with a phone # with extension , I was pressure washing the second floor out side & I could not find a way tp make that extension work , it was a guy named Nick & I got the extension to work, but it connected me to a women & she said on her answering message she worked for SI Defense , WTF ? -
Ya never know what SI Defense was experimenting with or what calibers .

I would hope they proof tested their rifles . I also find it odd that their 308 Carbine Spring is a little short . -

So your putting a Rifle stock on , which one ? As far as that trick Trigger job , well ,nothing like putting extreme pressure on a weak sear engagement surface , your LaRue FCG will be a world of difference & you know it . Do you plan on a trip to the range before any modifications ? -
Makes me wonder if that Upper Receiver was made for a longer caliber , like a 300 win. mag. or a 30'06 , because of its relationship to the Bolt Stop . A longer caliber would bring the Mag Well back further & that would also move the Bolt Stop notch . Also not sure you have room to alter & keep the Upper Receivers integrity .

I called about the twist rates & left a message , sounds like they are part of Falkor , directs you to access one or the other . -
Now you know , you shouldn't let Facts get in the way of the Anti gunners ! They make their own up !

Higher or lower number ? Never mind I see its lower from your previous post .

I think the twist rates are misprints also or they know something everyone else doesn't . unlikely . Here's the Home sight with all the good stuff on lifetime barrel accuracy https://www.dracosbarrels.com My question is who's or what's life time & what is it they consider a life time , more likely their determination of a Barrels life . -
Here is a photo of my Gen. II Upper on the CMMG & no Chevrons on the Deflector , might have been something they did after the Gun.II , which was an early Upper Receiver . Not to mention the side rail on the Receiver , which I never did find a use for . Looks like the logo for SI Defense was changed also .
-
Send it in for replacement & that would include all that you shot ! IMI is a very good company , all ammo makers sooner or later have bad lots .
-
Something is not right with that Upper Receiver , proprietary ? SI Defense was bought out & no longer a business , I had one of their Gen II Uppers on a early CMMG Lower & everything lined up correctly . Could you photo the forward Pivot Pin area ? If you have the $$ , just purchase a DPMS type Upper or if there is enough material to have it Milled to extend the cut in it already , that can be done , but the only thing with that is , if this Upper is really made for something else or a goof , what could be next not to line up or is not with in spec's for a DPMS LR 308 Lower Receiver.

I have an early Kreiger /Criterion 16" HB , with Rifle length Gas system & its a very good shooter . I just sold a 308AR that had their 18" Hybrid barrel & it was a sub MOA shooter . Here is something for all 308AR builders that they should stick away in their mind somewhere , direct from Criterion , but probably is a good guide for other Barrel Makers . "Please note that although many .308 AR bolt manufacturers advertise their bolt as compatible with DPMS pattern .308 AR rifles, lug and bolt face tolerances often vary widely between different manufacturers (as opposed to the AR-15, where there is a uniform industry standard). Criterion barrels are gauged at the factory with Fulton Armory .308 AR bolts. We have also had success in demo rifle testing with bolts from DPMS and JP Enterprises. If you have any questions regarding bolt compatibility, please email us at contact@criterionbarrels.com."

Try a Gen 3 PMag , they sit higher in the mag well & present the Cartridges higher for the Bolt to grab & feed into the Chamber . I have some measurements around here some where & show Magpul changed the Gen 3 LR Pmags. Lancer L 7's work great also , they also present the Cartridges for better feeding .

Nice job ! Got to love them SST's .

Im not completely sold on the use of Nitrating on Barrels , seems to be OK so far , but have not got a boat load of ammo experience yet . It is a process to harden tooling for hard extended use , so an AR Bolt or BCG seems to me a good idea I have one NIB BCG & its in my 16" 308AR & its holding up nicely . JT. , I don't know the round count use with that Bolt , but it does appear to have some Gas cutting on the Bolt face & that would probably cut through the NIB or help it flake off .
-
Factory rifle or build ? Need more info , if factory , need to know model , if a build need to know build spec's . Most feeding issues are the Magazine , but not all , depends on what type of FTF & when its happening .

PSA sometimes doesn't play well with other manufacturers Receivers , you won't know till you try it out , fitment wise & function .
