Since you mention a Castle nut you must have a Carbine Stock , so a reading on the Springs Coil count & length & as photos show in Wash's post above , also need a Buffer Length & weight . There is an issue with the Gas Tube protrusion into the Upper receiver , you may ( maybe ) get away with that protrusion with a Carbine Gas length system , but the Rifle length system will probably have issues because of the softer Gas impulse . The resistance of the next round in the Mag against the BCG will more then likely cause failure to fully feed or lock the Bolt , even though it locks the BCG back on last round fired in the mag.. Of course this all depends on if all the correct components in the Buffer assembly. Need to remove the Gas Tube & measure it or find out from the Manufacturer of the Upper ,what length Tube they use , an AR 10 rifle length Gas Tube is longer then the AR 15/DPMS LR used in some DPMS Builds / Barrels .

Are you Suffering From Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder (TARD)? Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is a pattern of pathologically dis-associative and psychotic behavior, first observed in the late hours of November 8th 2016, and increasing in severity with passing time. Sufferers of Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder often exhibit pronounced cognitive dissonance, sudden bouts of rage, uncontrollable crying, suicidal ideas, and extreme sadness. Signs and Symptoms: People with Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder are characterized by a persistent unwillingness to accept that Donald Trump is going to Make America Great Again. Individual sufferers often display signs of paranoia and delusion; in acute cases psychotic episodes have been observed. Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is different from being upset about the results of the 2016 presidential election; People with TARD are unwilling or unable to accept reality, despite irrefutable evidence. According to the DSM-V, individuals with TARD exhibit most or all of the following symptoms: - Telling others they are moving to Canada. - Fixated on fantasies about the Electoral College. - Protesting an election no credible source contests the outcome of. - Exclamations that “Someone” should do “Something”. - Acute change in demeanor from pompous and arrogant to fearful and combative. - Claim that anyone who disagrees with them is some combination of Racist, Sexist, Bigoted, Homophobic, and actually some sort of Hitler persona. Causes and Mechanisms: Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder was directly caused by the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America. For many, both in America and worldwide, this was a shocking and unexpected outcome; their preferred news sources having failed to inform them that the alternative candidate was a criminal parasite in such ill health she got chucked into the back of a van like a kidnap victim. Research is ongoing, but TARD appears to correlate closely with the following environmental and behavioral factors: - Membership in the Democratic party. - Identifying as a Feminist. - Currently enrolled in college, and/or - Possession of a Liberal Arts college degree. - Cuckoldry. - Living in a densely populated metropolitan area. - Massive student debt. - Spotty or non-existent work history. - Hipsterism. Diagnosis: Diagnosis of Trump Acceptance Resistance Disorder is straightforward. Ask the patient if Donald Trump is going to be the Next President of the United States of America. Some patients will become agitated, and may attempt to deflect. It’s critical you press them on the issue, even if they start babbling about ‘muh triggers’. A sufferer of TARD will begin to ramble incoherently, often displaying three or more of the symptoms within a short period of time. Treatment: The only known effective treatment is exposure therapy. The patient must be repeatedly exposed to reality, and should wear a Make America Great Again hat as long as they are able to tolerate it. Each exposure should increase in length, after a week the patient should be encouraged to be seen in public wearing the MAGA hat. Coach the patient to refer to Donald Trump as President-Elect Trump. Patients with TARD are very resistant to treatment, and dangerous in large groups. Any possibility of treatment requires that they be separated from their hive-mind support apparatus; they cannot begin the process of accepting reality in the presence of encouragement towards delusion and irrationality. Separation may require the assistance of law enforcement. If you have a friend or loved one suffering from TARD, urge them to seek treatment. Together we can beat this scourge, and Make America Great Again!

This sucks for you people that have to live in these Commie strongholds & I'm not sure why SCOTUS refused to hear this case . http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/military-style-firearms-second-amendment_us_58aceeebe4b0d0a6ef4634f8

Wonder where this is taking place , Country ?

There is a difference from the first Press in a couple of ways , the threaded insert for the Die's & the Clip that retains the floating Shell Holder . Look closely at how the ( in this case an old RCBS Green Machine expander body for a Little Dandy Powder Measurer ) Die Body is tilted in the Threaded Insert & the clip that retains the SH is not straight across . This is the New press , with Shell holder & a Redding Bushing type , Full length Sizing Die And a photo of the Threaded insert for the Die's ( old ) New I cleaned & sized about fifty LC today & they are in the Tumbler with SS ,as I type . These will be my test bed to compare with ammo loaded on the Pacific , both with fixed Shell Holder & Floating .

Between testing the 16"HB & the 18" Hybrid , she has been a safe queen & needs some air .

Were the Pins in the Lower Receiver already or did you get them from somewhere else . & if you got them separate , are they 308AR Pins ? As said above , we recommend the Same Manufacturer Upper & Lower Receives , because of potential fitment issues as you describe . Tolerance Stacking from different manufacturers .

Yes & a good idea to swap the FCG ( Trigger/Hammer ) out to make sure you don't have an issue with the FCG . Before you do that , check the Bolt hold open on last round as was described above , then we can go from there . You can even take the FCG to the Range & swap it out there , if need be , but the BCG going back far enough by Gas Signature/impulse of fired rifle will tell us a couple of things & which direction to go .If the BCG is held back by the Bolt Stop on last round in the Mag. & if it passes , fire two rounds & see if it locks back on last round in mag , then go to three , then five , then ten & then go to twenty or what ever your full mag is . If it does hold the Bolt Open on last round , & then fails as before after a few fired rounds , change out the FCG with the std AR 15 FCG & redo the testing above ,1,2,3,5,10 rounds . If it doesn't lock the BCG on last round , it could be short on gas when warmed up , an adj. could be made to open the Adj. Gas Block up , for a more efficient gas impulse . One thing at a time , to narrow it down . Slop the lube on the FCG also , try to keep lubricant from the inside of the Chamber . Some here swear on Moble 1 synthetic oil for break in , but I have never used it on any rifle , but all builds are different .

If you want to categorize him as such

Dam , seems like they have problems We know the Libfuk Politicians have no clue on how to run any type of Government and we know there will never be anyone held accountable for their lack of judgement and complete disregard for their responsibilities of their office . I don't think the American tax payers should foot the bill for Negligence from the people who should have repaired & updated these Dam's . This goes back further then Jerry , Arnold has part of it .

The whole thing about the AR15/16.M4 is they are MilSpec , one part will fit any model & are made to certain spec's for serviceability , now you have a barrel maker who is doing their own thing & making the assembly different then Milspec. , taking us down the road of the 308AR , in a way . There is no reason for them to install the Taper pins in any other way then Mispec , none , it just confuses anyone who wants to follow mil spec disassembly procedures , IMO , its just STUPID !

1/2 " can give some issues with proper Cheek Weld , unless you have an adj. cheek riser . you have to be comfortable & not searching around for a sight picture from shot to shot , but I'm sure you know that , just reminding you . Its also important if someone else is using the Rifle too.

You can call her a 308AR or a Matrix 308AR , something to that effect , gives people a good idea of what they are dealing with . What Gas Block are you running . Some new builds may have issues when warmed up , depends on a few reasons , -type of lubricant used or not enough in the right places . -types of ( if any ) Coatings on BCG - Tight or Rough Chamber ( as has been mentioned ) - Gas signature issues ( Gas Block alignment , an adj. Gas Block not adj. correctly for break in , even the Barrels Gas Port not sized correctly ) First thing to do is start with one round in the Mag , chamber the round , fire the round & see if it locks back the BCG with the last round in the mag . Do that test & it tells us it not under gassed . We here , can go from there . The mods can move this to the Matrix or 308 Build section if you want .

I got one of the first production ones out there . I got unlucky & got a defected one or one that made it past inspection . Who knows , they were very fast in replacing it & top notch Customer service , as good as any of there big name Manufacturers I have dealt with . I have had to send Dies back , parts breakage on my Bullet sizer & small other thing with reloading with the Big Name Manufacturers , so I wont hold it against this Manufacturer . $hit happens & they took care of me as good as you can get . This is my first MEC product & since it has already proved to me it has great potential for a reloader . I will be doing a lot of testing with my new Concentricity gage on different factory loads , Match that I have & different Reloads for comparison , but this Press & maybe the Forster Match Seating Die seem to be a good combo . I did do some of my older Hand loads & as my other thread showed , most were 0.004-5" Run out , on average , to get 0.001" on average has to have an effect on Bullet performance , this is a whole new path to go down for me , might not pan out to prove anything , but I can't help thinking , any time you get a Bullet not dead nuts aligned with the Bore or Lead , it has to have some effect on its performance . I'm breaking out the big boy for testing , the Krieger/Criterion 20"HB .

One thing , thats a very high Rail on that Upper , you will be hard pressed to find a Hand guard rail to match up to it . Just a heads up . Hope that Manufacture has a normal rail height available .
-
With a Riser , you will need different Rings , I can see those existing Rings will be too high . They look like Extra High Rings now , same height as I use , just different brand , That Scope has a very large Objective lens , what is it ?
