  1. Its as said by Blue109 , the 308AR rifles are in a couple of categories because of components , some are proprietary for the specific brand , Armalite AR10 , DPMS LR , which is the most prevalent of all the 308AR platforms , in both parts availability because of all the manufacturers that make components for this type and the last platform is also a DPMS system & its the their GII 308AR , smaller frame 308AR , with quite a few proprietary components . This is why we like to separate the different platforms because of the mixing of one platform with another can cause issues . You say a JP buffer , would it be their Silent Captured spring system ?
  2. You say AR 10 , is it Armalite components ? Or is it a DPMS pattern ?
  3. New one came today & is smooth , Threaded insert is flush all the way around & it sizes the LC once fired brass to with in 0.001" , run out , on all my test brass & then the seated Bullets ( 155SMK ) all had a run out less then 0.001" ( the needle barely moved ) , which actually could be Bullet or brass imperfections , especially with the Brass , so I think I will keep this Press . I also found that the run out on even the ammo loaded on the other press & on the Pacific Press , lost on average 0.001" Bullet run out ,after Taper Crimping , not saying for sure that a Taper Crimp will straighten out some of the Bullet alignment , but its looks like a possibility . I will have to try the Lee FCD out & see what it does . Interesting . The Concentricity Gage has made me a monster ! The sleeper has awakened !
  4. Yum , my Coffee shipped today , will be giving a full review after it arrives .
  5. The sized brass from this press that I finished loading on the Pacific Press were odd to me , some were perfect , almost all the LC once fired had about 0.002" run out on the Brass & the same with the seated bullet , almost perfect , but most others brands were over 0.005" & some went to 0.017" ,which is almost bent , at least thats the way it felt going into the Forster Seating Die . I don't quite understand this , why would they all not be way out , in terms of run out ? I will have the new press tomorrow , so I can see how this works out with a new true press . What will be interesting , is shooting the true run out ammo to the ammo that is way off , just to see what , if any , difference in grouping , velocity , ES & SD . All ammo is the same weighed charge , same primer , Bullet & COL . Why the LC brass came out Ok is a brain scratcher . Makes me think I did something differently or wrong or right , just strange . input , not that it really matters , unless the new one does the same
  6. Whats the difference in the two Muzzle devices ? any photo's ?
  7. Photo's man , photo's !
  8. 1-12 twist rate , interesting . How come no rifle photo's , we need our fixes too!
  9. So they came out like Faxon said they installed them , removed from right to left ( as looking down the sights ), assbackwards
  10. Fulton Armory , you can get the 20" Threaded or plain . The 24" is out of stock . http://www.fulton-armory.com/barrelfatitan20nmm110ss1x12875gasblockthreaded.aspx
  11. I have filled a couple of them out , even after the election. & sent no $$
  12. Which way ? It sounds like they did put Red Loctite on them as they said they did .Glad you got them off .
  13. Thats not the photo that I first posted on the article , it was a man holding an 80% , WTF ?
  14. Grips are one thing that a lot of the AR 15 contour Grips will not fit a Billet 308AR Receivers . Some will fit good , some will not . Hit & miss .
  15. Ah, Commiefornia & this guy was finishing customers Lowers with a CNC Machine https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2017/02/man-who-sold-access-to-cnc-mill-to-make-untraceable-guns-sentenced-to-41-months/?comments=1
  16. Here is a Blog that talks about the most used Calibers now being used in Long Range competition . Interesting , I will never own one of these Calibers , not because they are not god shooters , just that I don't need any of them , except the Tactical ones maybe. http://precisionrifleblog.com/2017/02/16/long-range-calibers-cartridges-what-the-pros-use/
  17. Thats one of their Anti tilt Receiver Extensions , they are assembled a little different for clearance . as far as your Feed ramps , you will not know till you test them . Its not where they sit , its how they are blended together . I have seen HP Match Bullets jam right where the two feed ramps meet , but as said I don't thin the 308AR even needs M4 feed ramps ,I have two with out them .
  18. Welcome from Florida .
  19. Can we see a photo of the Gas Tubes protrusion into the Upper receiver ? You may or may not have feeding issues with that Barrel Extensions feed ramps , you have an M4 feed ramp system on the Upper Receiver & std Feed ramps on the Extension . You won't know till you test fire , some are ok , some have issues . 308 AR's really don't need the M4 ramp system .
  20. Its ok , now don't you feel better ?
  21. Sounds like the Bolt is not seating or locking correctly . As Blue109 said , remove the Bolt & see if it all lines up correctly & the Receivers should have no issue closing together properly with out the Bolt in any AR .
  22. For a minute there , I thought you were going to say John Deere Tractor Hell , it might take me a day or two to figure it out , Motorcycles too , geez .
  23. Have any names of Companies or barrel manufacturers besides Faxon that install them this way ? This is a first for me
  24. The full auto block was installed in Colt AR 15 Receivers to keep them from being easily converted to full auto or select fire or basically to keep select fire components from being used .
