  7. Shepp I was remembering the H2 or was it a daytime nightmare? <laughs> dadgum heres a quote I found. "It was notoriously dangerous, being prone to up-and-over wheelies and speed wobbles. The dangerous handling characteristics arising from its mediocre frame design caused it to be nicknamed the "Widowmaker" by motorcycle enthusiasts of the 1970s." Why didnt that shop owner tell me this before handing me the keys? <laughs> you know my shoulder still makes grinding noises ;D Wash
  8. Yep you can run into a tight gas block...I would do what the Guys have said....first a lil moly grease and gun oil mix.., my witches brew.Dont be forcing the gb on ...you dont wanna scratch up your barrel....looks like though you need to polish out just a tad of the inside of the gb...one time this happened to me....I just took some wet/dry sandpaper and wrapped it around my pointer finger and polished it out oil and all.. till it fit....took 5 mins maybe :) Wash
  9. Robo Schweeeet! <thumbsup> Wash

  16. Jon My vote(putting on flamesuit) is a 6.8...ive got two of them and gathering parts for another. The 223 is a popgun... the 6.8 you can hunt with and defend yourself without breaking the bank on a 308. we just went to the range and Char was banging steel swingers at 300 yds with my 16" car 6.8....her 6.8 is an 18" but she was using the 16" and even liked it better! only thing is the 6.8 ammo is a lil pricey...bout 17 bucks a box.you can build a 6.8 for a darn good price...prolly around 900 bucks...using the good stuff. Of course we all know the 308 is the bomb! right? go here for several diferent good priced uppers but dont no how well they shoot http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/complete-uppers/psa-16-6-8-spcii-mid-length-cmv-mp-upper-9077.html me....! like ar perfromance barrels...freakin tackdrivers the lil 16" Wash
  17. Allright Brother ! you're getting close now...you got your wrench for the barrel nut ? dpms claw? punches? roll pin starter? <thumbsup> Wash
  18. Jimmy My dad was a seabee during WW11....he would say get the chrome! the only time to get a fulton is when everyone else is out of stock! :) Wash
  19. Doesnt it though? <laughs> I said the same thing at the range the first time I shot my 308 :) Wash
  20. Shepp It was over 6 months before I could get back on the h2....thats how long it took my shoulder to get kinda healed....the bike only suffered minor damage on the way home....geez it was a good thing the shop owner threw in a helmet free with the sale of the bike <laughs> but when I finally did get to ride...Wow! that thing was fast...I remember using this special oil mixed with the gas klotz I think was the name. For a two stroker geez it had torque. :) Wash
  21. Shepp Way to go! nice looking stick! you made the right choice! dont ya just love these 308's? :) Wash

These 308's like the lil 6.8's are freakin tack drivers! Hopefully its the umc ammo...ive never used it :) Wash

  25. 98Z I love bikes but they hate me <laughs> dirt bikes yeah that was a fun bike i had....tree stump on rib cage...still got the scar <lmao> remember the Kawasaki H2 750...the fastest street bike back in the 70's? might have been the fastest, but it was ill handling.... wrecked it out bringing it home from the dealership it started raining on me...11 miles on the brand new bike...me a broken rotator cuff on my left shoulder...yep im lefthanded too.. <lmao>...like I said I love bikes! <lmao> Wash
