  1. I did a test with a mixture of Magnesium, Phosphorus in the cavity shooting a 1 pound plastic bottle of Tannerite. Blew a hole in the ground.
  2. Large ''Tupperware'' totes, shoebox size plastic boxes and flat Harbor Freight parts bins (12" x16"). Stackable and portable.
  3. Ordered one of these. Spring loaded bearing. Wonder what I can build with this ????
  4. Get a Harbor Freight electronic unit <$10 Lee has two different formats on the trimmers. That with get you started , you can upgrade later. Most LGS's should have it in stock , attach it to a drill and mount the drill in a vice. Get a chamfer cutter to de-burr your brass cases. Lyman,RCBS Lee either a screwdriver type or a cone type. Don't get carried away just scuff it inside and outside of the cases. Get a Lee Factory Crimp Die , it is a must have item for rounds going through an AR. About $20. If you don't have a scale get a cheap electronic one at Harbor Freight or use the old triple beam in the closet.
  5. Just a couple things with primers and powders : Magnum Primers with ball powders only ! Slower powders will get faster projectiles but need longer barrels. Flake powders need each load to be weighed ! Stick powders can have compressed loads and work better at that point. ,(Listen for the crunch) Federal Primers go bang EVERY TIME !
  6. Lee basic press $35 to $40 FSReloading Lee 4 die set for 308 at Amazon ! Lee primer or RCBS primer setup both work great. I am not into the hand primer thing in front of the TV.
  7. Start out and get some M80 147gr bullets . Then step up and get some Hornady 150gr FMJ-BT #3037. After you have more experience try these bullets : Hornady 308 _ 168gr BTHP #30501 Sierra Matchking 168gr HPBT #2200 Sierra Gameking 165gr HPBT #2140 The tipped bullets are great but more pricey than the 3 that are proven to work in our guns.
  8. Welcome from AZ !

  10. This is what I was trying to upload 3 times.
  11. I prime all my brass on single stage , you will get use to a certain feel as it seats the primer. I have been using the progressive press to decap and size pistol brass. Super quick ! The current setup with a Auto-Disk powder and seating die I can crank out about 15 -. 20 per minute.

  14. Varget or 4064 with 168gr HPBT is a great combo with 308 rifles !
  15. Somebody needs to give the camera men raises !
  16. Me and 98Z5V built TWO AR Pistol's from a parts bin one day ! LOL 😆
  17. Picked up 250 -357sig 1x brass and 150 -10mm 1x cases . Deprimed ,cleaned and sized them. Managed to break a Lee decapping pin on one die ,then broke the ball on a RCBS sizing die. Glad I had spare parts ! Next session I will be prepping that brass. Side note : l just loaded my 5000th round this year !!! Been saving the primer boxes to keep track .
  18. Just finished a couple of batches. First was the nickel 357sig cases I had 45 pieces , used 7.2gr of CFE Pistol , Federal 💯 primers at 1.135" to 1.140" . Had to adjust the seating die height because of the change of brass. The second batch was 140 misc brass 357cases , 8.2gr of Longshot , Federal 💯 primers at 1.140" with the Hornady 142gr FMJ bullets. This load is right at the extrapolated max for this powder. Should be a pretty fast load.
  19. Made up some powder puff rounds for Tom to shoot . Nickle40brass - CFE Pistol 6.5gr - Hornady 142gr FMJ - Federal 💯 @ < 1150 fps. I am not a fan is Nickel cartridges , they are hard and not as pliable as brass and tend to crack when sizing . Also I had had two break and had to remove them from pistol Chambers. One was a Speer SD factory round that almost F_ed up a brand new Storm lake G31 barrel.
  20. That's a heartbreaker , sorry for your lost !
  21. Picked up a pound of Power Pistol yesterday and made a range load. This one is in the middle of the load scale. I am using 7.2 grains of Power Pistol ,Federal 40 brass & Federal 100 primers set at 1.135" OAL with the Hornady 142gr FMJ on top. Should clock in a little under 1250FPS. I made almost 500 rounds last night.
  22. This is totally bad @$$
  23. Why wasn't a Bean Bag LTL from a shotgun taken out of the trunk of the car by the other officer as his partner led him away from the house and past the squad car ?? Then shoot the bastard in the back with 2 rounds of LTL. !
