  1. Eotech G33 STS 3x magnafier. Finally broke down and bought one.
  2. I ordered one of these last Friday and picked it up today. Here it is. It's a 6 shot all steel .22lr single action revolver with a case colored frame, blued grip frame, cylinder with recessed chambers and 4.75" barrel. It has a hammer mounted firing pin like the Colt SAA and NO transfer bar. Being all steel and the same full size as a .45 SAA and having such small charge holes and bore makes it pretty heavy. It's beautiful. A bargain at the $428 I paid for it. Can't wait to shoot the crap out of it.
  3. I'm Irish and Scottish. The Irish side of me wants to get drunk but the Scottish side doesn't want to pay for it. Also some English and German mixed in there too.
  4. Welcome from Florida.
  5. In 1984 I'd just bought a new Buick (POS and last GM I ever bought) and kinda got in a little speeding dual (not racing really) with a guy in a new Olds on I-275. When we passed an on ramp two Florida State Troopers were waiting for us. One got me and one got the Olds. The trooper walked up to my window and asked for my documents. He then proceeded to sternly inform me that I'd been clocked at 87mph. I told him "that's funny, my speedometer said I was doing 90". His face cracked and he started laughing. He then explained how I was caught by their airplane using a stopwatch and the Xs on the highway. Still got the ticket but it wasn't a tense situation. I now slow down if I see Xs on the highway.
  6. Welcome from Florida.
  7. You did well. The EOTech 512 ia a sight you can rely on.
  8. Welcome from Florida. Was born and raised in WV. Left in 1965.
  9. Shepp, you got the hiccups? :-)
  10. All good thoughts. I'm very glad the situation wasn't deadly. As to the OP, I haven't been pulled over for 25 years or so but I know better than to get out. I watch COPS.
  11. I would like to add. They were not in the officer's home but rather a public street which both had equal rights to occupy.
  12. Fair enough. Then a jury should decide. Not very likely though. A badge does not invalidate mistakes. Possibly this officer is simply not cut out for the job. Everyone's life would be a lot simpler if we were allowed to shoot anyone who frightens us.
  13. I'm sorry but I don't believe police are or should be a protected class. This officer should be judged in the same light as anyone else. A civilian would have a hard time convincing the police that shooting a 70 year old disabled man was the prudent thing to do because the dark concealed a cane's identification and you believed your life was in danger. Nope, that civilian would still be in jail. Double standards have no place in law enforcement.
  14. Is the boss' lawyer on vacation?
  15. One BIG difference. I'd eat the hog.
  16. Ergo Delta Grip came in yesterday. Fast shipping. They are hideously ugly but surprisingly comfortable. First off, they are the same length as the factory boot grips but allow all three fingers on the grip instead of two as with the Smith grips. They cover the backstrap, huge improvement. They are very soft tacky rubber giving a very secure feeling hold. The grip angle is superior IMO making the revolver point more naturally. They feel great in my hands. The trigger is easier to stroke at this angle. Down side. Your hand does not naturally find the proper grip at first. You have to adjust your grip to get a proper hold. This may change with use. They do not fit my Don Hume pocket holster but do fit my Galco belt holster. Did I mention they are hideously ugly? The only thing that will hinder their sales. I think they are a very positive addition.
  17. That is some great wallpapers.
  18. I used to work in a strip club about a hundred years ago (was a bouncer actually). The ONLY bait that strippers are attracted to is cold, hard cash. Even a 4' toothless ugly som om a bitch will get lots of attention if he has cash and a 6' Adonis with empty pockets will get ignored. Hookers are much more honest than strippers. At least with hookers you know what you're gonna get for your money.
  19. Nice shooting and nice video.
  20. Pic didn't work.
  21. Ordered me an Uberti 1873 Cattleman .22lr 6-shot 4.75" single action revolver today. It's being imported by Taylor & Co. It's a full sized SAA clone in .22lr w/case colored frame. It's beautiful. Should be here Monday.
  22. Oh, you've been there too.
  23. Unlike a rifle, a wifle does care whenever you load a different chamber. I never could suffice with just one caliber.
  24. 1994-2000 was your red sweater period huh?
