personally id stick to the companies who have been around and consistently put out a good product. id trust aero stuff. as mentioned, they probably build parts for alot of these smaller guys. the 308 game is changing fast so who knows if a standard will be adopted, and what it might be. until then, I avoid the bandwagon companies. (I understand aero is new to 308, but they have a great reputation across the board)

Rainier rebrands everything. don't think they actually do any manufacturing. aero probably makes their own stuff. its kinda hard to tell though. most companies don't like to advertise who makes parts for them.

I always make sure to knock new AR builds off the bench on the first range trip. gotta get those first scratches out of the way so you can stop worrying about them.

you are good to shoot. honestly, the headspace is the main one you need to worry about. other issues will manifest themselves as reliability or function issues more than safety issues. if it passes a function check then get er out to the range.

was reading the stainless KNS pins aren't as strong as milspec pins. I had a lower from the 70 s that the pins would walk out. other than that, I don't see any point.
