While I'm thinking about it...if you go rifle gas with a flip up gas block and the 12" tube, it doesn't really matter if the PRI rail is 1/16" too tall since the sight isn't mounted on it. You could still get the SPR sleeve for continuity, or even just buy the PRI tube that comes without the rail sections and save a few bucks. Just comes down to what you want the end result to look like. Damn, I sound like PRI is paying me for this sales pitch!

So the bonus of the new DPMS height is that any AR15 irons will work. The old height caused some confusion. If you use that 12" PRI tube with a rifle length gas system, you can use any standard front gas block sight/rear sight combo. The SPR sleeve doesn't go all the way to the charging handle, it leaves a gap so you can mount a flip up rear sight.

I don't remember if you have a barrel....what gas system length are you using?

Last I saw, the centurion is old style. I don't run irons so the pri rail mismatch isn't a big deal.

The PRI is set up for the high profile, but if you want the SPR/modO setup, they make a connecting rail for the new/low height. It also looks pretty darn sweet, but costs a small fortune and adds a little extra weight. You don't like the APEX tom posted?seems like it would fit the bill for you.

I generally prefer my high pressure explosions to be surrounded by metal instead of plastic with some exceptions. Hence, my lack of enthusiasm for a plastic bullpup with ground zero occurring a fraction of an inch away from my cheek.

Funny you mention this. All my gas tubes were solid. I did some cleaning this week and my SPR gas tube wiggles now. Gas block pin is tight. carrier still locks smooth, but it's bugging the crap out of me. gonna have to tear it down and see what gives.

That will be the newer lower height. It has fewer options at the moment.

He was a good guy, and like robo said all of the sudden he was argumentative and defensive. Was cool to see a little guy coming up with something and promoting it. He got beat up pretty good on the big forums by all the tier 1 internet posters.

Hey lite. That gun has been through a few transformations since then, but the PRI rails were rock solid. The backing plate keeps them from moving at all. I'm using PRI tubes on 2 rifles now and hopefully a 3rd soon. https://www.precisionreflex.com/Products.aspx?CAT=4814
