  1. Shoot tucson308 a message. He has several bolts and might be able to point you to a carrier.
  2. Not sure. I had to do the password reset and it didnt work twice. I just waited and tried it again and it worked the 3rd time.
  3. Took me 3 times to get back in. maybe some folks couldnt get back on and will try again a little later?
  4. Tucson represent!!!!
  5. I really need to grab a A3 height! so many projects....so little money.
  6. looks good jon...but you could have saved some time...tucson guns has a few pink magpul matrix sets on the shelf...i think they look sweet. thinking about grabbing one for my spare A2 rcvr set for the wife.
  7. Been using kershaw blackout auto assist for the last 10 years or so. Love it. On my 2nd one because I lost the first. Never felt the need to buy something "nicer"
  8. Saw this on a bike forum. Seems WA is trying to pass a bike sales tax. Apparently this is an email response a bike shop got from a local legislator. Pure awesome. Disclaimer: I havnt checked snopes yet...it almost seems too ridiculous to be real...but you never know
  9. The reason for gen3 pmags.
  10. lol...looks like v series match trigger, no bite blue target spring set...couple little cheap parts. if you have some lancer mags ill trade ya straight across!!!
  11. I had some mags on order at brownells. Was very excited to open my package today...to find.....a bunch of 1911 trigger parts. What the crap brownie? Too bad it takes 3 days to get an email response. Im irritated. I dont have high hopes of getting my mags now.
  12. I have a 2 piece rail like that on a regular AR. on mine you need to install the rear(barrel nut end) and then slip the front in(gas block end). Its oppisite of how ive always installed USGI handguards so it threw me at first. If you dont do it rear first it seems like its too long. Maybe give that a shot if you havnt already.
  13. can you blame them? or anyone else that follows?
  14. Correct. It is a tight fit...and the screws make it pretty sturdy..but not as stiff as if it were glued. I wouldnt use iirons for any sort of precision work. There was a tiny bit of deflection if I pushed on the tube. would most likely loose some accuracy if shooting from a bag or bipod. The irons were strictly backup on that gun so I didnt sweat it.
  15. Looks like he only joined to find some mags. If you have some to share...id say save them for the brothers who contribute to the community.
  16. Any thoughts on the versa pod? I have rifles with rails and with studs. Would be nice to just have one bipod and buy a few different bases.
  17. last year i bought a couple TangoDown ARC mags from brownells on manufacturers clearance. its an AZ company, they are not as common, and they look sweet. i wanted to like them. unfortunately they seem to have a major design flaw that occasionally causes the rounds to nose-dive into the front of the mag and jam the gun up. they have been sitting in the back of the closet collecting dust and i finally decided to just get rid of them. on a whim i decided to shoot TD an email and see if they had any fix for the mags poor performance. about 10 min. later, Jeff from TD responded. he told me to box them up and send them in, and he would have gen 2 mags right out to me to replace them. no questions. no fuss. always great to find companies who stand behind a product 100% <thumbsup>
  18. PRI rail sections already have a concave mounting area designed to fit flush with their 2" diam. carbon tubes. they bolt to a thin steel back plate. heres a pic on my clark customs FF rail. also, instead of glue i drilled and tapped 6 holes (3 sets of 2) around the barrel nut area. it was solid and removable.
  19. maybe old news, but i just read all 20+ pages. best, most unbiased mag durability test ive seen. in my opinion they all did well enough to inspire complete confidence. big surprise to me was how tapco mag ran neck and neck with the big dogs. guess i wont thumb my nose next time i see them for a good price. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_17/581741_The_Unscientific_Plastic_Magazine_Test____mobile_users_56k_do_not_click_.html
  20. I was a little miffed at paying $25 for 308 PMAGS...so I only bought 2. After looking at GB and AR15.com I dont feel too bad. Im a cheap ass and generally wont overpay for anything. My recriational shooting is about done.for the next year or so because no way im paying this much for plinking ammo.
  21. This mag madness wont last forever. I wouldnt base my decision on current pricing. I think a FAL would be cool if I already had a big AR...but if I had to choose id take the AR.
  22. Not a chance. There are plenty of nice lowers out there for that price. Maybe not right now durring this self inflicted shortage...but the shelves will be restocked by next year.
