in stock at sinclair for $65ish. having a hard time deciding on building a kis carbine or a 20" out of my A2 rcvr set. i hate having parts sitting around!

my issue is more about LEOs and ret. LEOs being allowed to personally purchase items that are banned to citizens than departments issuing those weapons to on-duty officers. i dont think these guys are patrolling the neighborhood on their off time. i understand that some depts. cant afford a stocked armory or cant afford high end gear blah blah. if its an issue than let the depts. find a way to buy some colts. this brings us to the real contradiction though. they want to ban these weapons so criminals cant get them....but they need to keep LEOs armed to the teeth so they wont be outgunned by the criminals.....who supposedly cant get these weapons anymore. if these bans keep the guns away from criminals, than the LEOs dont need them either. if criminals can still get the guns, than the ban has failed. this isnt an anti leo position...its an anti scheming corrupt NWO government position. we live in a very apathetic selfish society. i am guilty of it myself. many of the "more equal" people who can still get the banned guns will put in a half assed effort to fight for the rest of us. even worse....many will start to believe they are "more equal" than they already are. the hostility and division will expand exponentially. these companies that are making a stand are forcing the playing field to be equal. they are encouraging unity, and they are adding soldiers to the ranks who will fight this sort of legislation. we joke about the crappy companies who have started this roll, but we are only a month into these new laws and the list is respectable with others joining daily. as the list grows and pressure builds others will join and it will become a big deal. i saw a list that included midwayUSA. i havnt looked into it but if its true i will be impressed. they will certainly get my business over the other big retailers who have not made the stand.

the people (generalization) of these states have chosen to elect the officials who have made these decisions. they have chosen to let the government protect them instead of making an effort to protect themselves. let the officials figure out a way to arm those they designate as our sole protectors. i would be more than happy to see every manufacturer stand up to this legislation, and have their LEOs patrolling with sharp sticks. bet you would see some reversals real fast. this obviously wont happen, and each and every one of us will have a sharp stick in our bedside table drawer for protection in a few generation.

agree...but its clear that the big guys are not going to stop selling. colt, armalite, rock river etc make way too much money off of LE contracts to stop. im not going to scream "boycott" or "traitor" like so many people are doing on other forums (most of whom are just talking out there asses anyway) but i will remember who took a stand when i am ordering parts/guns. i have also sent emails to all of the above companies expressing my appreciation for what they are doing.

if you havnt....get on youtube and look at some of the quad rotor vids. they are scary. especially the ones flying in formation. some serious terminator stuff right there.

I was recently using some google-fu to try and figure out a strange number that sent me a text. By some strange accident I came across some PDF copy of an announcement with my grandfathers name on it, his unit and rank, and what ship he was hopping a ride on over to Europe. Really cool. I'm going to print it and frame it.
