I felt bad....I laid claim to one of those 6 months ago and never paid you for it lol. I'll come grab it when I need it my man. I'll wait till they ban the FRT triggers and sell mine for $1K I'm actually tearing my little A1 carbine apart right now. I bought a flattop upper for it and I'm trading it for a bunch of go-fast goodies for the GTI. too many damn hobbies.

Halo on Paramount is pretty good so far. Master Chief is played by that guy from Den Of Thieves and I like him. Kids getting Merced by aliens within the first 10 min of episode 1 lol. It has potential.

Let me go ahead and give those boys a call. Wouldn't want to be in violation!

My weekend just started and I slept for about 22 solid hrs lol. I'm getting too old for this ish! I'm going to have to take an extra day off after fall shoot to recover instead of rolling straight backed into graveyard 12s.

That pic is rad! I hardly took any pics this time. Worked a 12 hr shift, off at 8AM Thursday morning. went home, finished packing, and bailed out to the spot. Left Sunday afternoon, Slept for a few hours when I got home, and rolled right into a 12 hour shift. Didn't even unpack the truck lol. Going to take a few days to normalize. Awesome as always. Basically shot up all my ammo. Very depressing carrying those light cans into the house lol. MK12 still my favorite gun. Don't remember much of sat night.

If your gas port is sized correctly on the barrel, you will have the same gas pressure reaching the carrier regardless of barrel configuration, so it has no bearing on the recoil system you use. My 16" rifle gas system has a significantly larger gas port than a 16" carbine gas system. The goal is optimum operational pressure running down that gas tube. This isn't always the case as it's not an exact science. If you are overgassed, you can run an adjustable gas block or heavier buffer/spring to compensate. If you are undergassed you can open it up. Buying quality parts that are known to work together can mitigate your troubleshooting but there are no guarantees with big frame ARs. Keep in mind... adjustable gas blocks can only REDUCE gas. I constantly see people acting like it's a bandaid for every problem. Several of us are running carbine stocks on rifle length guns. Some of us are running carbine stocks on 16" rifle length gas guns. It's common and totally doable. The armalite recoil system is unquestionably better but the DPMS system works fine in most cases. It's just a different approach to the same problem. The carrier is long. DPMS decided to use a standard tube and a stubby buffer. Armalite decided to use a longer tube and a standard buffer. There are spring and buffer weight options for both systems.

I think they had both versions same price. I they were on DVOR. It's a site that runs deals for a few days at a time. Sometimes great prices, sometime nothing special. I've been bumped lol. I know people that took a good wack. When it's game time you are slinging those rounds in. If a gunner misses, or has a double engagement, he's waiting on the loader to mash that trigger. Sometimes there's not much time to get out of the way. It can't fire until you flip that safety bar up, but the heat rounds are 35lbs and sometimes you are off balance and trying to be as fast as possible and you don't quite get out of the way in time.

Actually ....... My last hearing test when I left the army they told me I was losing high frequency that was near the female voice range lol. You are out adventuring every time I call you. Give me a shout tonight if you arent busy. I'm not sure if it was addressed yet, but @unforgiven asked about hearing protection for armor. Here's slightly outdated US and Russian flavors. I'm sure both are currently upgraded from this stuff, but you get the idea. Our tanks are surprisingly quiet inside. I've driven a pile of the Russian stuff but never fired their guns so I'm not sure if it's the same.

I got a free year of apple TV, and there are some bangers. Don't remember if I mentioned these before. SEE with Jason Momoa and Bautista is really cool. Foundation is slow but good and has potential. Invasion is really good. Cool take on aliens. They are really creepy and brutal. Mosquito coast could have been cool about an off grid family funning from the gov but the kids constantly do dumb stuff that gets them caught and it's annoying. If you are a sci-fi geek like me Nightflyer was good. Think it was on Netflix.

ST discovery tries way too hard to be woke, and half the cast is gay, but the story is cool and there are way more ship fighting scenes than the old stuff. I was never really into Trek until I started reading the books. They are really really cool. Gave me a whole new outlook. My buddy read the whole huge wheel of time series, and said the show missed and changed alot but he still enjoyed it.

I take a lot of melatonin. I have 5mg tablets for normal days and 10mg tablets when I am having a hard time crashing and need to force myself down for 3 or 4 hours. Usually wash it down with some melatonin/ chamomile sleep tea lol. Works pretty fast that way. Lately I've been able to fall asleep naturally just watching TV shows on my phone laying in bed, and I've been trying to avoid taking anything if I don't need it.

If that dude hasn't gotten his rifle running after 6 years, I think he's beyond any help we can give him 😄

I think I might start wheel of time. I just binged Picard. I'm not a huge trek fan, and I had no intention of watching this series, but I gave it a shot and it was actually pretty good. Ran through the first season in 2 nights. The expanse ended awesome. Probably my favorite sci-fi show. Raised by wolves is still going strong in season 2. Looking forward to Halo. Previews looked cool.

I work overnights, so I try and stay up for 24 hrs straight at the beginning of every long weekend and then I sleep like a baby. Rinse and repeat. My sleep schedule/habbits is honestly taking years off my life lol.

Interested to see if the spring changes anything. My 16" rifle length gas gun was running really inconsistent and short stroking alot. I threw almost a whole new guns worth of parts at it until I finally just whored the gas port out to something around .105 (don't remember exactly, I have a thread in here) and it's flawless 100% of the time now. Sprinco and KAK heavy buffer were purchased during the troubleshooting process so I left them in, but it runs if the factory parts fine as well. That black rifle is a sexy beast. Nice work.

Yeah....that's not suppose to happen. My 308s always dimple the primer but never ignite the round. I'd pull some bullets and experiment with empty primered cases to get this figured out before I took that gun anywhere. That pin shouldn't have enough ass to fire rounds by itself. I'd look to see if that hammer is releasing when you drop the bolt. What is your build spec? What recoil system? Trigger group? Also, just for clarity sake, you don't have an AR10. AR10 is a specific model made by Armalite. It actually does have a spring on it's firing pin.
