  1. What a douchebag.
  2. DPMS makes the Fulton receivers.
  3. Can't say I've ever heard anyone say anything good about Turks.
  4. Never heard of it. I don't have TV/cable so I usually just have to stumble into stuff that looks interesting, and then search for download sources.
  5. Is fringe cool? Been looking for some scifi shows to download. Just finished grabbing the entire 6 seasons of GOT. figure that ought to keep me busy. Binge watched Defiance but it was meh. Hunters is ok. Dark matter was meh. Expanse was ok but only one season so far.
  6. Has anyone taken credit for this? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you! Saw another video of the bomb going off. Took about 15 seconds from the time the guy got shot until he detonated the vest. Cop was actually standing right over him, and then ran. Seems like a point blank shot to the brain pan might have saved the day
  7. It most certainly will not.
  8. I'd rather take my chances against a gunman with an AR15 than a suicide vest
  9. Any new DPMS brand upper you buy now will be the "low" height. The low rail is the same height over bore as a standard AR15. This makes it easier if you are using a FSB or a flip up sight gas block, as all the normal AR15 parts line up as designed. The old/high DPMS height was about the same as the AR10. Its about 1/16" higher over bore than a standard AR15 which may limit you if you want a barrel mounted front sight. DPMS pretty much stopped making the high uppers around 2009 so chances are there aren't any for sale outside of used. Lots of people were annoyed when they changed heights, and they didn't really explain why they did it, so the aftermarket was slow to adapt. Many DPMS compatible uppers are made in both heights, and they sold a bazillion of the old ones before they switched, so there are plenty of companies making rails for both heights. If you plan on using rail mounted buis and a low pro gas block it really doesn't make any difference, just make sure the parts you want are going to work together before you start buying. There is also the goofy "target" height that nothing matches up with that's about half inch taller. Don't see those around too much anymore.
  10. My matrix blem had no noticable blem. I think the "blem" was that it was a little tight around the front pivot lug. When I first got it I had to give it a good tap to get it apart. It has worn some of the anno away from there and is about normal now. Again, just remember to get the matrix parts kit with it. Save some headache. If you dig around the matrix forum in here you will see every possible problem and solution. Bunch of us bought them at the same time so it was like a long distance build party.
  11. Jipped! I didn't get a CBI sticker :(
  12. I'm sure rainier is nice, but pricy if I remember. Don't know anyone using one.
  13. Thanks a lot NRA
  14. https://www.natchezss.com/optics/rifle-scopes.html#brand=200798,201072&dir=asc&istock=202997&op_condition=19461,19491,19481&order=position&price=10,25.00,9,25.00,8,25.00,7,25.00,6,25.00,5,25.00,4,25.00 Try that link. Should be a quick natchez search of Burris and Nikon refurbs and blems up to $250. Pretty sure I'd prefer anything on that page to the UTG you posted.
  15. I will say I like my matrix as well. Its almost as pretty as the mega, but lacks the ambi bolt release. Also very affordable. In case you don't know, these are the same receivers ruger uses on their 762 rifle. We have a member who is a dealer and has taken care of us in the past. My biggest recommendation if you went that route is to BUY THE MATRIX LPK. it has proprietary stuff. https://www.centralfloridafirearms.com/product/matrix-aerospace-m-762-receiver-set-15-key-mod-hand-guard-and-lower-parts-kit-cerakoted-o-d-green/
  16. Also had a 2 month long ordeal with brownies lol. Not really worth the $20 I saved going through them, but oh well.
  17. I have a mega 556 set. My current 308 is matrix and I've had Fulton and DPMS. the set screw allows you to fine tune how tight you want the receivers. You can set it rock solid at the expense of having the takedown pin really tight, or decrease tension from there. Its a detent ball on a spring inside the lower that applies pressure to the bottom of the takedown lug. I wouldn't consider it a major selling point, but nice for people like me who hate any wiggle in a receiver set. The machining is gorgeous, and I think they are attractive. I like the way the shell deflector looks. I like the way they did the ambi bolt release. Very natural and comfortable.
  18. If money wasn't a concern, I'd probably rebuild all my guns on mega sets. So nice.
  19. He probably knew what many of us suspect. That the sarin gas that killed those civilians in a Syrian marketplace came from Libya, and was an attempted framejob to gather support for military action against Assad. He probably also knew that all that firepower ISIS has came from Libyan arms rooms and CIA drop points.
  20. Probably been downgraded to rapid and relatively angry until after the election.
  21. Or is that just the cover for all the weapons we are sending to jihadists?
  22. You should be able to call them and order it direct. Brownells also sells some criterion barrels so you can check and see if that's one they have listed.
  23. What lower are you using? The DPMS lower has the takedown pin spring up through the bottom ( grip area), so their LR308 LPK is set up for that. My Matrix lower comes in through the rear (stock area) like you describe and they have a longer spring in their LPK. You can probably email the manufacturer of you lower and try to source that spring, or like JT says, use something to take up the extra space. Some guys even like to tap that hole and run a little plug so you can pull the stock off without the spring coming out.
