I had a bolt with marks like that. Position looks like sloppy machining of the lugs more than contact with the extension, but that receiver fit is terrible. Never seen that before.

We usually go out to the desert to shoot as a group, but if I'm by myself and only plan on shooting for an hour or so I actually prefer ranges with "dickhead RSOs" anymore.

If you want a true MK12 clone gun, you need the ARMS rings, but you also need the pricy Leopold scope, and funky profiled barrel with the obnoxious ops Inc brake. If you just was a sweet SPR with that mod 1/0 look (like I did) you can use better parts. I've heard of people having issues with the ARMS rings loosing zero. I went with PRI rings on my MOD 0ish gun, and I have some Warne maxima QD rings on another gun that are inexpensive and solid.

I'd assume most DPMS pattern uppers will work. I'd stick to the more well known brands and Google around before you commit to be sure. You are always better off buying a matching set. Any interest in diving in and assembling the upper? Really only takes 2 extra tools and you get to build it exactly how you want it.
