  1. Nope...but we can travel a few minutes down the road to a nice mesa...500-700 yards one way. 1200-1400 the other way!
  2. Arizona had the same thing happen...big gang activity, followed by 10-15 year prison sentences. And the activity has started up again.
  3. I've been close to this myself...this dude must've eaten half the menu at once!
  4. Won't take long before it turns into "What are you worried about if you don't have anything to hide?"
  5. Welcome from AZ!
  6. Really?! I LOVED the ATCs! Throttle and weight shift...GO!
  7. What are the lightest bullets anyone has loaded for .300 BO?
  8. Doc, if you'd said "magazine" would you have gotten at least a Penthouse?
  9. I think it will do them good, especially if they adopt a "standing recall" like Ruger has on the 3-screw Blackhawks: send in your firearm, we'll install the new parts at no charge, THEN send you your fixed firearm AND the original parts back too.
  10. I'd choose .30-06 but with bullets heavier than 150gr. Push up to the 220gr and you have a better BC and more mass inertia.
  11. Not in the article above but from one of the gun sources, this recall covers ALL the M700s since 1963. The previous recall was for a short run (comparatively) for recent models.
  12. Shibi goes commando!
  13. YEAH he is!
  14. GG, welcome from AZ!
  15. Howdy from AZ!
  16. I got the range December 28/29. If that doesn't work, we can go out into the trafficking corridor!
  17. So long as he follows up that throat punch with an IN THE NECK!! all is good!
  18. Welcome from AZ Dan!
  19. I heard about them plenty before that report piece...but not before the report hacking 60 minutes did in the early 1980s. It was an issue, they knew it was an issue, and they are now doing the right thing. Good on them!
  20. This one: https://www.okshooters.com/showthread.php?207331-Friend-s-rifle-was-butchered-at-local-shop <laughs>
  21. Naw...we can stretch that berm to berm and get 400 yards. If we have the range during those days.
  22. The variables are far and wide concerning barrel longevity. Myths and reputations from early stainless are still mumbled about like facts. A quality stainless barrel will outlast an improperly treated and chrome lined barrel. For AR type rifles, a better indicator seems to be length of the gas system, all other factors being equal. Any quality barrel has potential to be more mechanically accurate than the person shooting rounds through it.
  23. Well, they are the 92S model, with the mag release in the oddball position...but that should make little difference.
  24. Are you sure that's what they were? Did you have your glasses on when getting the pills out of the box?
