  1. "Customers can thank/blame Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, the Michael Bloomberg-backed gun-control group, for petitioning the Mexican-food chain to ban firearms. But Chipotle and Starbucks seem to be tiptoeing around the issue a bit. Money from a left-leaning mom is worth the same as cash from a double-barreled Texan." No doubt! <thumbsup>
  2. Hmmm. I've got 3 of the DPMS '19 rnd' steel mags and they all hold 20 with no problem and snap into the rifle with the bolt closed. I've never had any feeding issues with them, although I don't really use them much (I prefer my Magpul mags). I have always wondered why they called them 19 rnd mags!
  3. <lmao> That was a good one! <thumbsup>
  4. Jerry is so fast on the trigger the ATF made him register his trigger finger! :hail: <lmao>
  5. Yup, nitro racing is a rich man's sport for sure. Back in the 50's and early 60's it was pretty cheap to do, they didn't run the percentages they do now and the technology was archaic to say the least. It was a LOT more dangerous too! If you want to read a hell of a story about nitro dragracing back then read the story of 'The Surfers', these guys set the whole nitro scene on it's ear in the 60's! http://www.hotrod.com/thehistoryof/retrospective/hrdp_9810_southern_california_top_fuel_movement/ A little nitro trivia; nitromethane originally was a byproduct of the oil refining business and was pretty cheap to buy until the drag racers found out they could go a lot faster with the stuff! You can poor the stuff on a concrete floor and throw a lit match on it and it won't ignite, but DON'T hit it with a hammer, it'll kaboom on ya!
  6. That's why I would never get ride of my low tech guns! I also have a low tech muscle car in the garage too!
  7. Thanks for clearing that up Dawn! I was really worried that Tom had actually broke down and sold a gun! :ugone2far:
  8. If that were the case it would still be cheaper to just have them stand around and pay them for doing nothing! No money going out for materials and manufacturing costs other than the labor wages!
  9. I have to call B.S. on this one! There's no damn way the car manufacturers would keep up a pace that would create that much surplus just to keep from damaging the economy! No way in hell!
  10. That's a great Idea for a 3 gun rifle! I may have to try it!
  11. That thing is shaping up pretty nice Blue! <thumbsup>
  12. Thank you Captain Obvious! <laughs> <lmao>
  13. <laughs> I've been camping with people like that Jon!
  14. Damn, that sucks! Hope everything turns out okay brother!
  15. Damn Tom, quit holding back and tell us how you REALLY feel! <lmao> <laughs> <thumbsup>
  16. <laughs> <lmao>
  17. Piece of cake to build something like that! I agree. The whole purpose behind a piece of furniture like that is stealth.
  18. Yup, that's some bad assery right there for sure! The article said the dog was being held for 10 days for observation and would then be euthanized.
  19. Yup, what Wash said! The lights I've been getting from Gun Shack are Cree LED's. Little bastages are bright for no bigger than they are!
  20. I draw the line at anything to do with fire! I've been badly burned one time and I won't go down THAT road again!
  21. Gnat, I manage to roll up about 5,000 miles a year on my Harley and retention has never been an issue. Also, I NEVER ride without carrying, too many fuking Bandidos around here! As I'm sure you've already figured out, a well fitted holster is the key to not needing retention. I would not even consider carrying a gun in one of those cheap soft nylon holsters without some sort of retention strap, not that I would use one of those things to start with.
  22. I'm right there with you on that one brother! <thumbsup>
  23. Hmmmm...............a can of R134A and a little filling on the sear. Could work ya know! :auto:
  24. Gnat, none of my concealed carry holsters have retention straps and I've never had one work loose in any manner. I would think my gun would be more prone to working loose too, It's a 3&1/2" barreled 1911.
  25. This is so true! I'm married to a Cuban but after 29 years I'm used to it! <laughs>
