  1. Nah, the winos busted up the stocks and used them for campfires at Courthouse Park before I started! <laughs> I don't have the Python any more but know who does, and he knows the history of the gun and that I would like to get it back if he ever decides to let go of it. I do have a 6" Python that was made in 1992 and is in need of a new blue job. The only place I will let do it would be the Colt Custom Shop.
  2. Damn Jon, I hadn't even considered that. But then again, I ain't the sharpest pencil in the box either! ;D
  3. Hey Rene, that's what I was issued back when I started the P.D.! :ugone2far: <lmao> Actually, the only issue guns the P.D. had back when I started were Smith & Wesson Victory Model 38 Specials (forerunners of the S&W Model 10) donated to the P.D. back when the Army Air Base closed here after WW II. My Captain said "Those things are so loose when you shake them they rattle so much the chickens come arunning, they think it's feed time!" <laughs> I had bought myself a 4" Colt Python so I didn't have to carry one of those rattletraps. Had to buy my own handcuffs too, they didn't have any to issue me!
  4. I don't feel that a comp or brake really have any effect on accuracy as long as the bullet doesn't contact it on the way out. Muzzle devices work off of the gas propelling the bullet, and the gas doesn't even exit the barrel until after the bullet. In the video the barrel doesn't appear to move until the combustion gasses exit the barrel, at which time the bullet is already gone!
  5. LOL! I've got one of those gas engine powered washing machines out in the yard using it for a planter, and it still has the engine in it but it won't turn over. I got it from the local Maytag repairman. NO SCHIT, I really did! He's an old friend and his daughter is my wife's coworker. My wife wanted it and he gave it to her for a case of Heiniken. He told me that the engine in running condition is worth well over $500 and rebuild kits are available for it.
  6. My wife is PISSED! She put loaves of banana bread in those packages that will be bad by the time they get delivered. They won't show up now until after Christmas, and apparently the military post offices in Okinawa shut down from Dec. 25th through Jan. 1st! These packages have already taken longer to get from our post office to Chicago than they normally take to get from here to Okinawa! Gotta say though, it's our fault, it's not like USPS service doesn't go to schit every year at this time.
  7. Well, just got an update on the Priority Mail packages I sent out to Marines in Okinawa last week. They left El Paso last Friday, the 13th and they just arrived in Chicago today. I wonder where in the FCUK those packages have been for a week! >:( Priority my A$$!
  8. She is a pretty good shot Ron! <thumbsup>
  9. Yup! And when the neighbor complained about me shooting his cat I would tell him "Hadda make sure he stuck around to get tested for rabies!" <lmao>
  10. I'll get some pics of my 308 and 223 rifles up in the next day or two. Those you can go ahead and post if you want.
  11. My UPS guy is a buddy of mine, got his personal cell phone # on my phone! I've had pretty good luck with USPS, especially with the care packages going out to Josh in Okinawa. We just sent out 6 Priority mail boxes to Marines the first of the week, 5 to Okinawa and one to Camp Lejune. Hope my luck holds out!
  12. VERY nice setup Rob! <thumbsup>
  13. Okay, I KNEW I had some 'dirty' pics and I found them. Two days before Josh left for boot camp. I had to clean up this mess! And my wayward child! <lmao>
  14. Here's one of Josh and his Jeep just before he went into the Marines last year. We were WAYYY up in the mountains, almost at the top of Cooke's Peak north of Deming. This was a 'clean' trip though, not much dirt on the Jeep this time.
  15. You had to go there didn't you! :thefinger: <lmao> C:-)
  16. I've been carrying one of these for 3 years now and it's been a great knife! http://www.amazon.com/Columbia-River-Knife-Ignitor-6850/dp/B001R314FY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1387231526&sr=8-1&keywords=crkt+ignitor
  17. Some pics of the build I did for my wife for Christmas! This is all Tom's fault! She saw some pics of Tom's pink AR and said she wanted one. What's a guy to do? <dontknow> Please don't post these pics on the Facebook page until after Christmas though. She is on there all the time and it would be just my luck she would stumble across them.
  18. Yup, looks like once a day. I got another one in. <thumbsup>
  19. Done! That IS one cute kid Rob! <thumbsup>
  20. Very nice! <thumbsup>
