Dion, thank you for the service you provided! Hang tough and get your life back on track brother!

I I'll be in Tucson in about a week and a half. I'll run up to Maricopa and pick them up! I'll show them the love they've been missing!
-
Put them in the gun safe!
-
Don't worry, I think I used up all my mojo, I haven't won jack schit for the last couple of years!
-

Welcome from New Mexico! -
Depends on the service provider!

Oh shiit! Those twins get into enough pickles without Tom's help! Their 2 years older brother can be an instigator all on his own. I might need to move up my time schedule to get moved over to Arizona to act as a buffer between those boys and Tom! Oh shiit! Don't worry about Christmas presents brother. We adults (I use that term loosely) in the family don't really do gifts, it's all about the kids and when they turn 18 they're adults! My daughter only has one kid at home now and he's already 16! This is the son he's talking about taking 3rd in National competition, he's in his early 40's;

I know the guy who developed that cartridge, Fred Craig! I used to shoot USPSA with him and his brother Jaime Craig up in Hutchinson Kansas. They used to put the Kansas Sectionals on there in Hutchinson. Fred had a terrible temper, I watched him throw a timer over the berm at a match once because it kept acting up! He went and got after he calmed down a little His brother Jaime had a tattoo parlor called Point Blank in Hutch and was ranked a Grand Master in USPSA.

The Colt Python is back

Now you can buy a new one brother! -
I'm not sayin anything about that!😏

I've been a Python fan since I shot my first one in 1976. I bought and carried a blued 4" Python at the start of my career as a cop and later on let that one get away from me. Now, I have a 6" blued Python and a 6" stainless 44 Mag. Anaconda residing in my safe. I know where my old 4" Python is but the guy who has it (a good friend) doesn't want to let it go and I can't really blame him. Anyway, Colt has re-engineered the Python and is bringing back! The lockwork is beefier (the old models could develop timing issues after only a few hundred rounds of full magnum loads) with less moving parts. These guns are going to be shooters! 6" and 4&1/4" stainless models starting out, with some form of dark finish (blued or black nitride is the word) to follow. I hope they do the black nitride instead of the bluing, it's much more durable and makes more sense. Colt will never do the Royal Blue again that they were famous for, it would cost too much! These are going to be working guns and the black nitride looks good and holds up much better. There's a lot of back and forth on the Colt forum about these guns not being real Pythons. They look like a Python and say Python on them and Colt calls them Pythons, they are Pythons, just like the new Dodge Challengers are real Dodge Challengers even though they are totally different than a 1970 Dodge Challenger! As for the black nitride finish, would you put bias ply tires on a new Challenger just because that's what the originals had? https://www.coltforum.com/forums/python/370319-python-2020-a.html They MSRP at $1499 but when they hit the shelves (6" only right now and they didn't last long) they were going as low as $1350. There are sellers already auctioning them on Gunbroker and they are being bid up to anywhere from $2k to as high as $3k! All I have to say about that is a fool and their money are soon parted. Colt is in for the long haul with this gun, it's not a limited run! I'm going to hold out for the dark finish 4&1/4" model and should be able to pick it up in the $1300 price range, maybe even lower, I'm not in a rush and the wife has even endorsed buying it!

Wise decision brother!

THAT was Ranger class shiit right there brother!

Or....your transfer case might have just fell out of the truck while you were bombing down the highway!

Welcome from New Mexico! So, from your introduction I gather you only own one large frame AR? Just so you know, hanging around these guys has a way of curing that dilemma!
-
I hate to be the bearer of bad news brother, but that may be some shiit that rubbed of on you from @98Z5V and the fall shoot! Next time you're down maybe don't stand so close to him! Happy New Year to all of you!

"It's Texas, brother!" Hell yeah! https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/across-denominations-san-antonio-churches-have-members-armed-and-ready-at-services/ar-BBYwcrY?li=BBnb7Kz I love this; "When the assailant at the church in White Settlement opened fire, at least half a dozen other congregants drew their own weapons and began moving up the pews, news reports indicated."

I'm hoping that this sends a message to anyone contemplating this shiit that there is a chance that you will be dealt with swiftly and decisively if you try it! Even in a place you might think would be gun free!

I'll throw one out here too, just to make Dirk and Ron feel a little better. So, the cruise control on my Harley kept kicking off and guys riding behind me said my brake light was flickering on and off. Clue! Brake light switch is the problem. Now, the switch in the rear brake is hydraulic activated and pretty much trouble free. The one in the switch housing on the handlebar is a different story though, it's an electrical switch and subject to corrosion from water getting in there from high pressure car washes (Yeah, I'm a lazy fukker and wash the thing at the car wash). The older ones (i.e. my 1977 Electra Glide) were bad about it but as I found out, the newer ones have a much better switch and aren't as much of a problem. Thinking my switch is corroded I get a new switch and figure I can knock this out easily, again, relying on my experience with my old Harley. Mind you, I did this like the day before leaving for our run in Tombstone back in November. I take the housing apart and holy shiit there's a LOT of wires in that little space! The new ones have a LOT more switches in those housings! I had to cut the wires to the old switch and solder the wires together from the new switch (have I said how much I hate soldering little bitty wires?) well, I get it all done and start trying to cram all that crap back into the housing to put it back together with the added bulk of two soldered and shrink tubed connections. When I got to that stage, the tourette's guy had nothing on me! Also, to aggravate the process I discover that one of the brass ferrules that goes on the end of the two throttle cables is missing so now I can't even put it together! I swear, I looked all over the patio for that damn thing and it was nowhere to be found. At that point I said "Fukk it!" and told my wife the bike wasn't going in the toy hauler for the trip to Tombstone. Fast forward 3 weeks later. I've been over to my son's for the weekend and went by Tucson Harley Davidson and picked up two ferrules (buy an extra one just in case!) I start back on putting the bike back together. I get all that crap crammed into the housing and manage to put it all back together, apparently without pinching any damn wires. There is also a second assembly which has the brake lever, front master cylinder and rear view mirror on it to have to juggle in the process. I hook the battery back up and put the seat back on and then fire the bike up. WTF??? The damn brake light is on! At that point I'm thinking I must have pinched some of the damn wiring after all. I then notice that the front brake lever has a lot of slack in it. The plunger in the master cylinder is spring loaded and is not coming out all the way. It is supposed to push the brake lever out and a tab on the brake lever pushes against the switch, turning it off. Y'all see where this is going right? So, I pull the brake lever off and the plunger on the master cylinder looks really gummy and I spray it with WD-40, put the lever back on and work it a couple of times. Problem solved! The goddamned switch was never the problem!!!! To add insult to injury, when I picked up my tools I found that little POS missing ferrule lying on the floor amidst some wrenches! FUK! FUK! FUK! BOB SAGET!!!!

For probably 10 years now my pastor has encouraged all former and active LEO's in his congregation to carry, along with others that he knows are proficient. He is also a gun owner (as in LOTS of guns!) and very proficient in using them although I don't think he carries during services. I know for a fact he has a couple of 1911's with really good trigger pulls!😏
