  1. Double post
  2. I've been kicking that around for the last couple of years too. Yeah, it's a bit messy but damn does it make the brass look nice!
  3. Yup, most depriming dies also resize and you don't want the dirt in the die. I also tumble again after resizing to get the sizing lube off the cases. That's just me, some people don't.
  4. I was going to say, there are no carbine length gas systems on the large frame AR's but Tom beat me to it. Like he said, Armalite calls their short gas system 'carbine' length but it's almost identical to what all the others call 'mid length'.
  5. Welcome from New Mexico!
  6. Welcome from New Mexico!
  7. I remember that video, that schit was epic!
  8. The SPX is $700 there!😳
  9. Yeah, the SPX is the one I really want, but with the traditional stock, NOT the pistol grip stock! A tang safety and a pistol grip stock don't go together very well and a pistol grip on a shotgun always felt weird to me. Probably from all the trigger time behind the department's Remington 870s.
  10. I have a CTR and have used the SL with the steel leaf springs. Both are pretty good, solid stocks.
  11. Just saw this thread and thought I would chime in here. I know that it doesn't really have any bearing on the OP's situation but the private transfer background check law that was enacted here in New Mexico is NOT being enforced by ANY law enforcement agency in the state! As it is right now, no one has any idea how to even go about enforcing it and no one is even making any attempt to do so. That B.S. law was passed by the state legislature as feel good legislation to make the dumbazzed liberals of this state feel all warm and fuzzy so they will continue to vote for their favorite democrat at the next election. NONE of those politicians had a plan for enforcing it and for the most part weren't concerned that it's not even enforceable. They did exactly what they set out to do, make their constituency happy so they keep getting the votes! Oh, and by the way, at least 30 of our 33 Sheriffs refuse to enforce it!
  12. And when you hit caliche it doesn't do a damn thing but sit there and bounce around! A heavy equipment type auger might get through that stuff but the only thing us low budget guys can utilize is those digging bars that Doc posted! That gas powered post hole digger is for puzzies anyway!
  13. They sent me an email requesting a rating on their customer service and I told them it sucked and why it sucked. I also told them that there were other companies that had much better customer service and were much better at honoring their sales. I made it pretty clear I would be doing business with those other companies.
  14. Got an email from Grab-A-Gun showing their Mossberg 930 Home Defense 12ga. shotguns on sale for $439 (pretty good price) but when I went to the website they were priced at $473! I opened a chat dialog with a customer service representative to find out why and was given a song & dance about how different suppliers have different prices and when they run out of an item from one supplier and the price is higher from another they no longer honor the sale price! This was the day after they sent the email out. The rep pointed out that supplies might be limited and he was right, it is at the bottom of the email in very fine print. Thing is, supplies were still there, they just didn't want to honor the sale price with what they still had on hand. I don't know what y'all think but to me this is bordering on a bait & switch and that schit pisses me off! I have no intention of buying anything else from them again. There are much better companies out there to do business with that have more integrity IMHO! Probably not as bad as the schit CTD after Sandy Hook but I feel it's still the same kind of crap. Just thought I'd throw this out to the forum for a heads up about their tactics. Do what you want with the info.🤨
  15. I have to agree with this. Yeah, they sell a very well priced rifle but no matter what you pay for it you should have a reasonable expectation of receiving a properly working product! Some purchasers have gotten lucky, but from what we've seen on the forum here there have been more misses than hits. PSA puts out really good AR-15 parts and guns and I've bought both from them but they seem to be dropping the ball on the AR 308 line and they don't seem to be too worried about correcting it. They've been in the AR 308 game for a few years now (plenty of time to get things right) but they're still putting out some crappy stuff. I'll continue to use them for AR=15 related stuff but there's a lot of better options for AR 308 stuff.
  16. If this guy right here invites you to a certain secret desert shooting facility at an undisclosed location you should take him up on it! You won't be disappointed! (Fukker is a walking encyclopedia for building AND shooting these things)
  17. Haha! That fukker is lucky his head is still attached to to his body!
  18. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. I've seen pieces of fire hose used and it worked really well. That stuff will take a lot of hits before letting go!
  20. I agree
  21. That dude didn't just step on his dick, he tripped over it and face planted himself right in the azz of the law abiding gun owners of this country!
  22. Welcome from New Mexico.
  23. That schit right there would really piss me off! Do you know how much of a pain in the azz it is to replace those roof tiles!!!
  24. Did that several years ago, Marlin 1894 in 44 Mag and Colt Anaconda, same caliber. It's a blast! You would not believe how many times someone has offered to buy those guns from me!
