  1. Rene, a buddy of mine hit the nail on the head this morning. He said "You should go back to the PD and see if you can get your old job back, then you wouldn't have to work so hard!"
  2. Working on it, probably a couple of years down the road though. Once the land is bought it's a done deal for sure. I want to get closer to this little guy!
  3. Damn, looks like fun! I can't get anywhere near a range right now. I'm replacing the engine in my older son's Jeep (has all that computer crap on it of course) because he can't tell a box end wrench from an open end wrench. Been running back and forth to Tucson looking at property to buy and looks like I'm getting 3.4 acres out by Vail, corner lot with paved road on both sides! Also dealing with Camping World of El Paso trying to get those fukkers to get the warranty repairs done on the RV for a trip to Havasu in a couple of weeks and NOW I gotta deal with financing for the Vail property. On top of all that the hospital has about 4 projects they want done yesterday! Fukkit, that stuff will get done when it gets done! Those people pull that schit on me all the time. Fuuk it, maybe I'll go to the range tomorrow.
  4. Fixed it for you!
  5. Most 3 gunners are using a 1-4, 1-6 or 1-8 scope, that 2.5-10 is a big scope for 3 gun! Semper Fi devildog!
  6. Got all mine married off years ago. One is getting maried again for her third go round in June. I told her she's on her own, I got guns and ammo and other schit to buy! I was raising two granddaughters but I got them out of the house before marryin' age, wasn't sure I was gonna make it with one because she was boy crazy!
  7. That's just wrong!
  8. My newest carry gun is in 40 S&W. Why? Because I have 2K rounds of factory hollowpoints compliments of Uncle Sam via the U. S. Border Patrol! No other reason! I'm of the opinion that the bullet technology of today has narrowed the field between the three calibers so much that it's a moot point. BTW, my son tells me that the Border Patrol is switching from 40 S&W to 9mm.
  9. Nice scope for the price and includes a nice set of rings too! https://www.midwayusa.com/product/307058/leupold-mark-ar-mod-1-rifle-scope-15-4x-20mm-1-10-mil-adjustment-spr-reticle-matte-with-mark-2-ims-2-piece-picatinny-style-mount?utm_source=hot-buy&utm_medium=email&utm_content=main-image-link&utm_campaign=leupold-mark-307058
  10. Wife told me "Order your Christmas presents, I don't have time!" She's been busy as hell with the new Cath Lab. I went to Midway and got me a set of 9mm dies and a 308AR magwell vise block. Not that big of a deal for us nowadays, like my wife says "When we need or want something we just buy it. Not much we can get each other for Christmas because of that."
  11. Josh has gotten something like 5 recall notices to replace the clock spring for the steering wheel in his Jeep Wrangler. It won't cost him a dime but he keeps putting it off. I'm probably going to have to make an appointment and go over there to Tucson and take it in myself. Damn kids, you NEVER quit raising them!
  12. I got the 308 version, it just showed up yesterday. Took it out of the box and looked at it but that's all. I don't even have a 1" mount I can use with it right now!
  13. So is that the scope from the sale you posted? If so, how come it's an AR223? Just wondering because the sale was supposed to be for an AR308 scope.
  14. Old news there! So far nothing has hit the shelves, which tells me it's not going anywhere. Problem is threefold, 1. Manufacturers are already set up to manufacture brass cases and would have to retool to make this stuff. 2. Reloaders would have to buy new dies for each caliber they reload for and they are expensive and proprietary at this time! 3. There's already a whole lot of conventional brass for reloading out there, and the dies you have already work just fine. I consider myself a typical reloader and I have absolutely no interest in this new 'technology'.
  15. Did you notice how towards the end of the article it got off topic and started arguing about 'clips' and 'magazines'? We need that author on the forum, he would fit right in here, not to mention he keeps talking to himself throughout the article!
  16. Sold out!
  17. I'm no expert by far but I had a friend on the police department that was a rifle shooter, reloader, hunter and the dept. sniper. He was one of the most knowledgeable riflemen I've ever known and he truly believed in the cold shot being different from followup shots. He felt so strongly about it that he would go out to the range once a month and set up a target at 100 yards and fire one shot at it with his department issued rifle and ammo and then bring the target back, date it, and put it in his file in case he ever had to go to court and prove that he knew where his shot was going if he ever had to take one!
  18. Amen brother!
  19. There's 4 different commercials, here's one of them;
  20. Even if they were priced in today's dollars equivalent to $19 in the 60's!
  21. DAMN Wash! You need to settle down brother, you're gonna bust a vessel!
  22. That ain't bait, that's gumbo fixins!
  23. Here's a $20 Redfield cantilever mount with free shipping to go with the scope! Yeah, I ordered one of those also! http://www.cabelas.com/product/WEAVER-SPR-MOUNT/2373410.uts?slotId=0&avad=55963_d10413bc1&WT.mc_id=al41227&Subid1=SID&subacctid=41227&subacctname=41227&adname=Custom+Link&adtype=cl&adid=NA&utm_medium=AFF&utm_source=41227&rid=12&WT.tsrc=AFF
  24. That's over two pounds, heavier than the Faxon barrels!
