I picked up this STI Trojan in 40 S&W recently for $800 with 3 Cobramag 10 rnd mags (damn things are $40 apiece) and the factory 8 rnd mag. I've been wanting a .40 1911 for quite a while and came across this deal so I jumped on it. Rob, I'm sure you'll appreciate the red trigger and Dymondwood grips I added. I've had that trigger stashed away for about 3 years just waiting for this gun!

There's always a plethora of guns at the fall shoot. As long as you bring your trigger finger you'll be good to go. Ya'll notice how I got that word 'plethora' in there!

I'll take an XD over a Glock any day. I got a Glock 21 for free (won another gun raffle back in October) and sold it within a month unfired. I hate the Glock grip angle!

Kiwi pretty much nailed it on the stainless properties. I used to do a lot of hand checkered frontstraps on 1911's and a 30 lpi checkering file would last through eight or ten carbon steel receivers easily but 3 or 4 stainless receivers would ruin a file. The best word I know to describe stainless steel is 'gummy'! Stainless steel is carbon steel with chromium added to it to create the stainless properties. There are different grades of stainless with some grades having enough chromium in the mix that the metal won't attract a magnet!

Josh was a catcher from about age ten all the way through senior league (16?) He ALWAYS wore a cup and it never slowed him down, kid caught more pop flies than any other catcher in the league. I found out why he did that the day I helped out at practice and did a bit of catching! I missed a low one and that was the end of my aspirations of being a catcher!?

As some of the companies that decided to boycott the NRA have found out, this schit works both ways! I'll spend double at a pro 2ndA company for something before I put a dime in the pockets of ANY company trying to undermine my rights!

If you're running evaporative cooling in one part of the house and refrigerated air in another part and the two areas aren't kept completely separated from each other you have one system fighting against the other. The refrigerated system pulls moisture out of the air and the evaporative cooling uses moisture in the air to cool it. Anytime the two areas are open to each other each system is playing havoc with the efficiency of the other system.

I bought a Red Ryder BB gun for my grandson (who is not even two yet) a few months ago. I told my son I got it for the grandson and he said "Dad, he's not even two yet!" I told him "Well, by the time he's five or six he may not be able to get one!" Josh said "I hadn't thought of that!" I taught all 6 of my kids (and a few grandkids) gun safety and how to shoot at a young age including the girls. Every one of them to this day know how to safely handle a gun and how to defend themselves and their loved ones with one! Five of my six kids can legally carry concealed and four of them do so on a regular basis. Wouldn't you know it, none of them have shot up a school, waffle house or any other place! Just boggles my mind!

I've never seen a 30 round 308 mag, DPMS or Magpul or anyone else. Is that a typo? If not, I'd like to know where to find these.
