  1. An FBI HRT team member lying? Nah, just CAN'T be true! I agree with JT, they tend to protect their own, look at Lon Horiuchi! What a piece of schit!
  2. A few years ago Fudruckers in El Paso had wild boar burgers on the menu. DAMN good burgers but they disappeared from the menu. I asked management what happened and they told me they were seasonal. They've never reappeared on the menu to this day.
  3. The recievers have the rounded DPMS type rear cut so my guess is DPMS also. I'm in the same boat as SS, if I had the money I would like to pick up a kit for a build. I'd be the only guy on the block with a Colt AR 308!
  4. That sounds like a LOT of fun!
  5. Keep everything and build more rifles!
  6. You lubed the BCG really well, right? Great looking build!
  7. Haha! Don't you put that evil on me Ricky Bobby!
  8. Welcome from another LEO biker in New Mexico. I'm retired now but still putting miles on my 07 Ultra POSE. Thank you for your service brother, and stay safe out there!
  9. Always fun when you can spend a day with your kids Mike!
  10. Happy Father's Day to all of you guys! I got a special picture from my son and daughter-in-law for Father's Day. The reason it's so special is in the second pic! The t-shirt my grandson is wearing is the exact same one Josh was wearing in the original picture. Unfortunately my shirt is long gone but we found Josh a black one on the 'net. NOT an easy thing to do, that shirt was only made one year!
  11. Haha! After watching your vids I was looking forward to putting a Faxon barrel on this build. I'm really looking forward to getting to the range on a good day with a good solid platform to shoot from and see what this thing will really do!
  12. It was some Federal Premium Law Enforcement stuff a friend gave me, 165 grn. bonded SP.
  13. Got out to the range for a bit today. Even with a fukkin 17,000 MPH crosswind and a wobbly azzed table I managed to shoot a 1.5" 5 shot group at 100 rds. MUCH better than that POS Anderson barrel! AND it shot everything I fed it, even the reloads the Anderson barrel had issues just chambering. Funny thing is though, with the Anderson barrel the gun was pitching empties around 3 to 4 o'clock but with the Faxon barrel it pitches them out around 1 to 2 o'clock! Might need to put an adjustable gas block on it? Once I can get a steady rest and a calm day I'm sure this barrel is gonna shoot!
  14. The wife and I are planning on making a trip up there next summer. He's already had a run in with a bear up there. He and a couple of buddies were deer hunting on some island and he went out to watch a trail one afternoon. He was by himself because his friends had already decided it was beer thirty. He said a bear (a black bear I think) came down the trail and towards him, and he started shouting and making noise to try and scare it off but the bear kept coming. Said he dropped the bear with his deer rifle at about 30 yards. Scared the crap out of him!
  15. Right now he's concentrating on getting up and running on .223 but when he is ready to start on 45-70 I'll definitely be getting with you to pick your brain!
  16. Well, I managed to get in on this one and mine's on the way!
  17. Same as the other guys, I've got several and never had any problem with them.
  18. So, years ago my wife and my oldest boy went together and bought me a Dillon 550 reloader. Now mind you the kid was a grunt in Uncle Sam's Army and didn't have much money back then but he stepped up! He just got a new house in Juneau AK with a shop and everything so I figured it was time to return the favor since his birthday was coming up and all. Guess what it costs to ship a Dillon 550 to Alaska! $95 friggin dollars! So he gets back from salmon fishing and there's this big azzed Dillon box sitting on his kitchen table (I had my grandson go over and take it in the house when it got delivered). The boy calls me all excited and I told him "Just wait, you may be cussing me before this is all over, you gotta get all the rest of the schit that you need to reload and straight up front, you're not gonna save a damn dime, you'll just get to shoot more!" He's mostly been shooting his AR-15 so I got the .223 conversion kit with the machine. When he called he told me he just acquired (TOM, you're gonna love this!) a lever action 45-70, so he's gonna have to get all the stuff to reload that too. I haven't heard anything out of my daughter-in-law but I figure she might be a bit peeved, he's already ordering schit online (well, the stuff he can't find in Juneau) and depleting the family fortune. Maybe that Dillon will confuse the hell out of him and he'll get me and the wife plane tickets to come up there so I can get him on track. Nah.............he'll just get one of his shooting buddies that reloads to come over and help him, Beer is cheaper than plane tickets!
  19. Foot #, inch # is for poosies!
  20. ^^^^^^That right there! It's weird but the stuff actually does turn loose after being soaked in water. It's the only thing I use on muzzle devices now.
  21. Now THAT is a step in the right direction!
  22. Got my 16" .308 pencil barrel the other day. Rifle is back together and just waiting for a chance to get to the range!
  23. This guy would be right at home here! https://www.shootingillustrated.com/articles/2017/6/5/building-an-ar-15-from-spare-parts/
