  1. i'll keep you outta the cactus Rene!
  2. I have two SD Tactical homebuilt suppressors with titanium tubes and I used Plastikote's Ultra High Temp Hot Paint on both of them and it has held up really well, it is rated to 1500 deg. If yours already have paint on them I recommend you bead blast them clean. Wipe them down two or three times with a solvent (I used naptha) and don't handle with your bare hands. The paint needs to be cured according to directions on the can to hold up properly, three stages of heating and cooling which can be done in your home oven (preferably when your wife is NOT home!) The last stage calls for something like 600 deg. but home ovens don't go that high. I just set mine on max and left the stuff in there for an extra 30 minutes, seems to have worked pretty good. Another option that has worked really well is Cerakote's air dry coatings. It takes a week or so to fully cure but is very resistant to high temps.
  3. You'll need to use a very high temp paint on your suppressor or it will eventually burn off.
  4. I've gotten both at different times. It depends on what my finances are like.
  5. My oldest son told me they started calling them 'lawn darts' in the Army after the Blackhawk down incident!
  6. Those mounts are very popular with the '3 gun' crowd and those folks can be some picky MF'ers!
  7. Are you using a small base sizer die for your reloads? If not, you may need to switch to one.
  8. Yup, I've won 3 guns at the local Friends of NRA banquets!
  9. "It is not clear whether it was planned under the Obama administration or the Trump administration." It's pretty damn clear the Trump administration made the final decision to use it! We've had them over in the middle east since 2003 and Obama never made use of one!
  10. Yup! I shot a club match in El Paso weekend before last and at the start of stage 2 I unintentionally touched one off on the draw before fully extended. Fukken right in the A zone! THAT is what a proper draw can do for you!
  11. There's ALWAYS a possibility of a lawsuit, especially in medical. You just need to find the right attorney. We have a liability waiver (written by an attorney) with a sign in sheet that all the riders on our Fallen Officer Run have to sign. Most attorneys will tell you that the waiver is not worth the paper it's written on should someone have an accident and decide to sue us!
  12. Don't listen to him Rob, John Bianchi did it without being fat!
  13. About time somebody did something to reign him in, fukker posts weirder and weirder schit every day!
  14. Well, I can kind of sympathize with the Doc no matter what happened. If I'm in my seat with a valid ticket and I need to get where I'm going on time I would have told them to get fukked too! But then I've always been a stubborn hard headed bastard and liked a good fight! My take on it is if you're going to bump people you need to do it before anyone boards the plane and it better be for a damn good reason.Everyone has a price and if you over book then you better be prepared to pay the price it takes to get people to voluntarily give up their seats. Mine is pretty damn high, and I have a funny feeling Dao's price is going to be extremely high!
  15. Oh, he is definitely going after United's deep pockets! http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/united-faces-more-questions-as-dragged-passenger-hires-high-powered-attorney/ar-BBzJ7GE?li=BBnb7Kz

    Good cops

Yup! I got tagged with 'Lurch' back when I started the PD by one of the best damn cops I ever worked with! It stuck and has been with me for over 35 years.
  17. Right???!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. That situation was a little tense at the the time but we definitely had a good laugh about it after they hightailed it off into the distance!
  19. Yup, Armalite calls their midlength 308 carbine length.

    Good cops

He did like the 'Dozer' nickname he got when he played Pop Warner football! I explained to him that instead of looking at the guys in front of him trying to stop him he needed to focus somewhere down field past them and concentrate on going there. Once he got the concept he would plow up the middle of the line every time they gave him the ball! It was a blast watching those kids play football!

    Good cops

Matt, his buds actually started calling him that after the second incident! He told his mom he didn't really like it though, he felt kind of bad that it happened.
  22. Crazy fukkers I tell ya!!!!!!!! Ringing steel at 435 yards in the dark, who does that schit???!!!!!!!!
  23. Not that one, that's just Mike pulling schit off the internet!
  24. I think it can be done but would have to be registered as an AOW (any other weapon). Nice thing about that is that the tax stamp for an AOW is only $5! You would still have the paperwork and waiting period though.
  25. I hope your Anderson barrel works out better for you than mine did. It had a tight chamber that had issues even after I switched to a small base sizer die. I could live with that (I have a friend who has a 308 chamber reamer) but when I tried to sight it in at the desert shoot a week ago it wouldn't group good enough to even attempt to adjust the scope. Barrel nut is torqued good and scope is properly mounted, as far as I can tell the barrel is just junk! No way in hell I'll buy another Anderson barrel!
