  1. Lawyers! That is why that schit costs so much. The government has to constantly test and update what is allowed in use due to lawsuits. The installers have to continually defend themselves in lawsuits, proving they installed it correctly per specifications. I hate having guardrail on a job, bridge rail is even worse. Suppliers need to keep inventory on hand for repairs but the specs are ever changing so large chunks of inventory can become worthless with the stroke of a bureaucrats pen. And that ridiculous cable system they put in the median of interstates, if the public really understood what that is about they would scream for heads! If they would leave it alone and let Darwin do his work we would be money ahead.
  2. SLICK!
  3. I will wait and see what kind of investigation happens. Hopefully it is a cleaner job than the Vegas shooting investigation. The Anthrax investigation and Steven Hatfill comes to mind. They tend to bend to political pressure when high profile incidents need closure.
  4. Citra Ass Down DIPA by Against The Grain Brewery in Louisville KY. Tropical fruit smell, initially a creamy mango flavor but goes quickly to a more citrusy, hoppy flavor, maybe a touch of spicy dank in the middle but ends with a nice clean tropical fruit flavor, sweet but not sweet??? Smooth all the way through, leaves a real clean feeling in the mouth. A hard one to describe as it is very deep and layered with flavors. I will buy it again if I see it.
  5. I would also recommend that LaRue MBT. I have SSA and SSA-E and the MBT is every bit as good quality and feel, SSA-E is just a touch lighter. For the money LaRue has it down. I do still want to get one with a GA on the trigger bow though.
  6. Another little trickle of information;
  7. Do they not use postmarks anymore? Something really odd about this whole thing.
  8. No plastic pistols in the inventory but my 226's and 938 do fine, frame slide and all. I use a heat gun on low to dry them out then oil while warm yet.
  9. I have a smaller Hornady ultrasonic cleaner. Bought it mostly for cleaning suppressor parts and pistols. It is handy for the pistols in that I don't have to break them down totally. Most often the traditional methods are best with AR's, I did run 1000+ suppressed rounds on a 300 BO and found it useful to get a good bit of the gunk off the BCG but still had to do the traditional clean to get it all. Found the same on suppressor baffles, gets the big stuff but hand work is still needed to finish up. I have not seen any damage to finishes to this point.
  10. Call them up, nice young lady will take your call, tell her what length you need and leave her your number if there are any questions. You will have the tube you need in a few days after the payment clears.
  11. Unless of course we are talking politics
  12. PM’ed the number to him, in a helpful, enabling mood tonight
  13. I called and placed the order, couple hours later the man that makes them called me to confirm measurements, tube showed up a couple days later.Cost me $40 after shipping if I remember correct. Fit like a glove with a nice even polish all the way around. https://www.whiteoakarmament.com/shop/upper-parts-246/barrel-group/gas-tubes.html
  14. Bully Porter Robust American by Boulevard Brewing Co. of K.C. Missouri. Smells smoky, tastes smokey up front to finish. Hints of dark chocolate and toffee but mostly just a seriously dark smoky flavor. Maybe a bit too much, kind of one note and a touch burnt bitter taste. With the right meal it may work.
  15. Snagged an ESEE 5 for under $100, didn't really need one but then what's that matter. This thing is a beast, 1/4 inch of thick arse 1095 goodness!
  16. Hop Rising Tropical Double IPA from Squatters Craft Beer, Utah Brewers Cooperative, Salt Lake city, Utah. Light on aroma, hint of fruit and bread. Up front taste made me think mango, goes into a piney dank hop flavor but still a little sweetness. Finishes with an almost creamy dank mango, odd but I think I like it, these double IPA's seem to be growing on me.
  17. Are you adjusting the ocular lens or the parallax?
  18. I have astigmatism and wear bifocals. I find that I can adjust the ocular lens focus to get a nice crisp sight picture with or without glasses, just have to adjust focus for each. I do notice my eyes get tired fast and start blurring out if I don't take breaks from the scope. Never noticed a difference between SFP and FFP, more difference is noted between scope lens quality.
  19. IPA Kolata by Evil Twin Brewing of Stratford Connecticut. If you don't like coconut then skip this one. One of the more layered tasting beers I have tried, depth and breadth there is a lot going on here. Smooth and creamy all the way through, starts with a strong coconut pineapple flavor that fades into a hoppy flavor with a fizzy feel. Ending with more creamy and tart coconut flavor with the tart fading to leave just a silky coconut finish. A pleasant coconut pineapple aroma with a hint of hops. Packs a bit of a punch on the alcohol side as well! If I see it again I won't pass it by!
  20. They have several good offerings, excellent stuff considering how widely available it is. Try the Juicy Haze version, one of my favorites.
  21. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  22. Welcome from Iowa, via Missouri!
  23. The new in thing, JP is selling rings like that so there must be something to it.
  24. Boulevard Brewing Co. of K.C. Missouri American Brown Ale from the Tasting Room series. Malty smell with some bready flavor and hints of toffee and caramel all the way through. A real nice smooth ale.
