  1. Can’t complain, I have been picking up AAC 51T’s for $30-$50 on fleabay. Take what I can get at that price!
  2. The Precision washers won’t fit this particular device, it is a deep socket version, used Gemtech on this one. I have used the precision and really like them, always try them first!
  3. I have a couple hundred rounds with a Sig 716 bolt catch from CDNN in my Matrix receiver, no issues so far, actually solved an issue. I can now use my Lancer mags in this receiver, to bad I already traded one away
  4. It had to have been piss poor shooting on my part. Shot 8 five round groups this morning and only one was over 1 MOA. Took my time and gave it a good five minutes to cool with the barrel cool fan running between groups.
  5. Surly Brewing of Minneapolis, Coffee Bender, coffee, coffee, and a little more coffee flavor, ends with a little creamy malted flavor, not to sweet, not bitter. Amazes me how these guys get all that coffee flavor infused into a beer. Not decaffeinated either!

    Grilling

Used to have something like that around here. They would get the huge pit going early in the morning, bury a huge pile of meat in it, then ride horses around the hills all day. The feast was always epic, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, pheasant, venison, even raccoon and beaver!

    Hello

    Welcome from Iowa!
  8. Welcome from Iowa!
  9. I have a bunch of Chicago Cutlery knives. Being a packing plant town you find them second hand all over. I mostly use them in the kitchen and find them to have great steel that will really hold an edge.
  10. Fulton Armory sells lots of good barrels, Criterion for one, and will headspace a bolt for you, their BCG is top of the line. http://www.fulton-armory.com/FAR-308-Titan.aspx
  11. That's what I love about Troopers, consistency!
  12. Exactly, my SDN-6 is full auto rated with a 12 inch barrel on a 308, should handle the wrap with no issue. I believe it is Iconel the baffles are made of.
  13. I think I want something dedicated. I have read enough to know I don't want to deal with cleaning the gas port on a 5.56 upper and want a better twist. If it ain't real accurate then the kids won't have near the fun.
  14. Something I have neglected to do yet. What is a good brand or should I just get a dedicated AR like the M&P 22? These grandkids can put a serious dent in the 5.56 stash!
  15. I end up with multiple grand-kids on the range with me at times so a second bipod would be pretty handy.
  16. Welcome from Iowa!
  17. I'll be looking for it for sure. Heading to a new job in southeast Missouri on Monday morning so it will be somewhat local for me there.
  18. I have several of these in diamond with different grits. They work fast and get me a shaving sharp edge.

  20. The barrel Cool, as usual it doesn't work as quickly as the advertising leads you to believe but it does make a substantial difference. The battery life was my biggest concern but I am still running on the original set so it isn't as expensive to run as I had thought. AAC didn't see any problem with a wrap hurting the longevity of their suppressors and if I would burn out a baffle they back their stuff. I've already had to send one in for an end cap repair that was 100% my fault, rather my Dad's fault, and they fixed it for free even when I told them how it happened.
  21. I learned a lesson about wraps trapping heat, the wrap will burn the crap out of you if the inside happens to lay against your skin when you take it off! They do trap the heat but like Kiwi says, as long as you are not dumping mags it doesn't really matter. It takes a good bit for the suppressor to cool after taking the wrap off but it is well worth it. I found the mirage from an uncovered suppressor made accurate shooting very difficult if not impossible after a couple groups on higher magnification scopes. I use a Barrel Cool fan which helps quicken cooling. http://barrelcool.com/product-category/barrelcool/
  22. Same here, got mine as a Christmas present, love it but the price keeps me from getting another.
  23. Wisdom right there!
  24. There are ADM QD’s for them. Not sure of the details but just saw an IG post where both Magpul and ADM confirmed that.
