So basically they don't like brave cops or chicken cops. I would think someone will have a hard time explaining to the parents why they didn't need help from the SWAT team when others wouldn't go in to help.

I still pop in to the 6.8 forum occasionally just to see what the breastguy is doing. He has some good advice but then fills his posts with bull and attitude.......and too many pictures of a scale! Now ww1911 he was a true ass, no redeeming qualities whatsoever!

Not really the same thing. I'm not a fan of messing around inside the trigger guard for anything other than pulling the trigger so this system solves that issue for me. IF I can run it with my right thumb then I can see more advantages yet.

Saw that Brownells is selling these now. I had noticed them on ebay but they seem to be going mainstream now. Looks like it also doubles as anti-rotation/anti-walk trigger pins. When you figure that into the $79.99 cost it isn't that high. https://www.brownells.com/rifle-parts/bolt-parts/bolt-hardware/bolt-releases/ar-15-battle-bar-black-prod97690.aspx https://www.smithtactics.com/products/smithtactics-battle-bar

Might want to look at the LT-139, LaRue's extended mount. Your mileage may vary but I need extended mounts for eye relief, I shoot with my nose right at the charging handle. I use this ADM on one;

Black Hills Gear MAD MIRAGE ABATEMENT DEVICE
jtallen83 replied to jtallen83's topic in Rifle Suppressors
There are several out there with similar specs and price but Black Hills Gear is a small Veteran owned business so they got the nod from me. -
Used this on my AAC SDN-6 suppressor for a few hundred rounds. Comes in original packaging, just minus the little bottle of "lube" that helped ease it on, this "lube" was just an alcohol based hand sanitizer gel like Purell. $35 shipped from Iowa to your door in CONUS.

Ran the crap out of my Matrix 308 with the MAD wrap on the SDN-6 can today. It made a huge difference in the mirage. At 30x I could still detect some very slight wave but not near what it is without it, makes the higher magnification almost unusable after a few rounds without the wrap. Learned two things, the Superlative gas block on the bypass setting blasts the wrap, it didn't damage it but made it pretty black where the gas hit. Second is be careful of the wrap when you take it off, you can easily hold the outside but the inside of the wrap will burn you if you let it touch you, keep your fingers on the outside fabric! Thin, lightweight, and easy on off, I will be getting another for that second can. I had been using a MANTA suppressor sleeve, it did a good job of keeping me from getting burned but didn't do much for the mirage issue. It was hard to put on and hard to get off and a good bit heavier. I shouldn't really talk it down since I plan on offering it for sale here but hey, gotta shoot straight. Here is a pic and a link to the Black Hills gear wrap; https://blackhillsgear.com/store.html#!/Suppressor-Silencer-High-Temp-NOMEX-MAD-Wrap/p/85499571/category=0

Got bad advice when I was a kid. Always wanted to buy some of those cheap surplus rifles advertised in the Shotgun News but was told they will never be worth anything, the junk wasn't worth the money . Couldn't really ignore them since they are the ones that had to do the actual purchase but wish now I would have pushed harder. When I show dad what the 1903's are going for he just shakes his head.

Welcome from Iowa, via DC. Besides incorrectly aligning the new gas block adding an adjustable block won't hurt but it might not be needed.

This is by far the longest I have seen the MBT on sale. Congrats, you will love it!

Dear Edward, the father of modern public relations, Sigmund Freud's nephew, first hired by Woodrow Wilson to figure out how to get the public to support joining in on WWI, worked on publicity for the paris peace conference, Joseph Goebbels used his books to model Hitler's publicity campaign, Supreme Court Justice Felix Frankfurter described him and his colleagues as “professional poisoners of the public mind, exploiters of foolishness, fanaticism, and self-interest.", worked for United Fruit Company helping with the overthrow of the Guatemalan government in 1954, helped the tobacco companies get women to smoke by calling cigarettes "torches of freedom", convinced consumers that only disposable cups were sanitary by linking the imagery of an overflowing cup with subliminal images of vaginas and venereal disease, and on a more benien note he is given credit for making bacon and eggs the all American breakfast and to his credit turned down Richard Nixon's approach to work for him,(possibly because he was getting to old by then, died in 1995) I urge all to read up on this man and his career, this p.r. war being waged on us is nothing new, Edward pioneered it. He may be single handedly responsible for the consumerist society we live in today. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edward_Bernays http://theconversation.com/the-manipulation-of-the-american-mind-edward-bernays-and-the-birth-of-public-relations-44393 https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-secular-shepherd/201604/edward-bernays-uncle-freud-and-betty-crocker -
That's what happened to me, bet you will need the extended style mount.
-
Depends on what you like but the 1 inch offset mounts did not give me enough eye relief.
-
Headspacing was something X-Caliber will do. They had forgotten to do mine but sent a shipping label and had bolt and barrel back to me in about a week.
-
Totally missed that, only ever seen the O-ring on extractors so that is what my brain read.

Also supposed to help spring life by containing it, the armalite kit even uses a plug inside to further contain it. Not a metallurgist so I cannot adequately explain this feature.
